Is this restaurant an Evanston institution yet? Huge portions, every Asian dish imaginable, fast service and a cast of wait staff characters! This place is not to be missed if you're visiting Northwestern University - it's filled with students, faculty and admin. On top of pretty good food, it's VERY easy on the wallet!

The menu selection at Joy Yee's is very extensive covering the Pan Asian cuisines. Once you order, your item comes out fast and the service is superb. You get huge portions at a reasonable price. The noise level is a little high, but the food makes up for it.

This is one of my favorite lunch spots in downtown Evanston. I especially love what they do with tofu and vegetables. Their smoothies with tapioca balls are delicious. I am a vegetarian, so I cannot rate their meat and chicken dishes, but I was there with friends last week, and they loved the sweet and sour chicken they ordered, and... More

a communal atmosphere with terrific food - the waiter was very helpful - described the many menu selections and suggested things he thought would please us after learning what we liked and disliked - it was noisy and fun and quite inexpensive - a wide variety of drinks and on my several visits I've tried many and liked them all

Visit every year for large family meal. Love the hustle and bustle. Great menu, good portion size, good value. Yet I have a feeling that things are slipping. Service a little off, dishes not as zesty. Dont fail us now guys.

Having visited this place each summer over the last five years, I am sad to say that they are falling off their game. Large portions, lots of bubble tea, but the service has slowed down and the food, while still tasty, has lost a little of its zest. Come on guys, don't lose it now.

My visit to Joy Yee was definitely a unique dining experience. The tables are very close together and the place is quite noisy. Service was friendly and efficient. The menu was very extensive and a bit overwhelming. We decided to play it safe with out choices and I wasn't too impressed. Spring rolls were just ok. Was a little disappointed... More

We liked the great variety of Pan-Asian offerings, Vietnam, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and and many more. Huge drink menu for a big variety of smoothies, fruit drinks, and similar drinks, "bubble" drinks, and regular drinks (two large menu pages just for the drinks). A numbered picture menu as the servers do not always understand you. The food was very good,... More

Their portions are as huge as their menu. Everything is delicious. The bubble tea is a must, as it is made with real fruit. Try the mango tapioca freeze.
