Good Deep Dish

I enjoyed my visit to Lou Malnati's while at a conference at Northwestern. This was first authentic deep dish experience and it was good! So different from the pizza you find in the northeast. I would recommend a visit to Lou Malnati's!

I am no pizza expert (for goodness sake, I am from California!) but did love this pizza. I had a few pieces of the deep dish and a few pieces of the thin crust over a period of a couple days. Being older (and thinner) I did like the thin crust the best and I also thought the salad was... More

On a brief visit to the area, I had dinner hear with an old friend. It's been years since I had a Lou Malnati pizza, and my first time at this location. Despite the lack of s parking lot, I found a street space across from the restaurant. It was early enough that it was not yet crowded, and my... More

OK so it's always difficult when you're in a city for a five day period to find the "best pizza and a city. My wife and I decided to try lose without even checking the reviews, and we were extremely surprised. We were staying up in Evanston and decided to just go for a walk be a lore of deep... More

This is my favorite pizza on the planet. Delicious, fresh, superb ingredients. I love the buttery crust, and the generous portions of sausage. Malnati's also features terrific salads. Once a month my girlfriend and I treat ourselves to a Malnati's deep dish pizza with sliced tomatoes, sausage, garlic, and mushrooms. Yum!

Want deep dish Chicago pizza? No doubt about it, you should come here. The pizza crust is amazing (and totally thick!) with piles of delicious cheese and tomato sauce on top. It was absolutely fabulous, as was the house salad that preceded it. Our waiter was nice and helpful, and the entire place handled our food allergies with ease (we... More

Looking forward to returning to this place soon! The service was the best we have had in quite some time. We asked to buy a beverage while waiting and they said they would add it to our bill at our table. I haven't had this happen in ages. Thanks for being so nice!! Pizza was the best deep dish I've... Two people split a Caesar salad and a medium deep dish pizza. The salad was very good and the pizza was awesome! You HAVE to get the butter crust! The restaurant was very clean and the wait staff was great. Lou’s is the only place I would ever eat deep dish pizza when I visit Chicago.

I have been enjoying deep dish pizza my entire life but this place takes the cake, or should I say pie! The difference between Lou's and everyone else is the butter crust. It really makes the difference in the taste. This pizza is a must for everyone who wants to experience what a real deep dish pizza should taste like.

I know there are many who may debate me, but this Pizza is a must have every time I come to Chicago. You need to have the time to wait for the pie but its worth every minute. Service is excellent. Two locations that I have visited. The one by merchandise mart is great if you are into sport memorabilia.... More
