I went to Lucky Platter recently for the second time and was again disappointed. The portions are small, prices high, and service only average. I asked the server to make a small substitution and even offered to pay extra, but she refused flat out. I won't be coming back.

I was visiting family who live in Evanston who eat breakfast here often so we made sure to save time to eat breakfast here with them . I love having breakfast out but rarely get the chance to do so. The decor is so eclectic and quirky . Everything from the colander and crystal chandeliers, the metal sculptures and the... More

The Lucky Platter serves dishes that have a variance. Whether you are enjoying breakfast, lunch, or dinner the dishes are unique. The Caribbean Pumpkin Soup is a great starter. The fruit cup has a tasty twist. Sweet potato fries...delicious. French toast.... way better than home. Give this place a try, and share your choices for a great eating experience. Like... More

Whether it's breakfast (get the bacon), lunch or dinner, this is a comfort food diner delight. Imaginative dishes that are reasonably priced and perfect sized (you will share if you want to.) Food is fresh, staff is great and the variety will please vegan to meat eater. I have to go here every couple or weeks just for the tacky... More

I live in the area and have gone here countless times not to mention the number of times I've gotten take-out. The food is consistently delicious. I have not had one thing off of their menu that was not good. I'm also impressed by how they're able to keep their prices so reasonable. I've been going there for at least... More

Great place for unique and "home cooked" meals - The stew and pork tenderloin are wonderful and they have excellent breakfasts as well!

Love this place for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Musts are corn bread, apricot flaky with breakfast, cinnamon bacon, homemade breakfast sausage, any of the sandwiches, the tomato bisque, etc. Everything I have ever had here has been great. Prime rib when on special is also great. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Service is... More

We really enjoy the breakfast here but have been there for lunch and dinner too. I like the scramble for breakfast and wash lunch down with one of there house made cream sodas.

I hadn't been here in quite some time, but recently went twice at friend's suggestion. I won't go back. Food is subpar. Small portions and overpriced. I can't help but think the owner is skimping every way possible to increase profit margin. It's all about money and nothing about quality. One trip I had a side salad with my meal.... More

Odd paint by numbers pictures, outsider art, and really good food! The pumpkin soup is delicious. The tuna melt is an updated version of an old standard and delicious. Request the corn bread--yumm. My husband had the chicken pot pie which again is an updated version of an old favorite. I could eat here everyday until I ate the whole... More
