Excellent Experience

Came with hubby some time ago. Decent! Just visited my friend & we decided to come here last night as we both had a taste for some quality meat & wanted to be able to walk there from her place! Kind of an odd choice for 2 ladies but hey, we had a taste for some steak, & to be... read more

We came to experience jazz and good food. While the food was great - service was a bit slow, even though the restaurant was not filled (on a Saturday night). Disappointed with music, they played 30 minutes and took a break for an hour. We passed them sitting at the bar using bad language on our way out.

We had a party of six and Pete Miller's. The service was excellent. MY husband had the bone-in rib eye which looked better than it tasted. My son and I had the sea bass. The fish was not presented well. It tasted fine...not great but was an unappealing plate....very boring. I went to hand one of the managers (was wearing... More

Lobster bisque and shrimp dejonghe are spectacular. Not crazy about their diet coke for cola fans. Bread and butter are delicious. Dark ambiance - great jazz music - service is very good.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Evanston. I especially enjoyed their "Kansas City prime strip", sadly these are no longer available. Their signature chopped salad is consistently delightful! On my last visit the shrimp was not fresh, service was inattentive and appeared skeptical of our claim. Still, I'll return.

I like Pete Miller's food and atmosphere BUT it has good (not great) steaks at downtown prices. There are plenty of other restaurants to choose fromin Evanston.

Had a mediocre experience at Pete Miller's in Evanston, IL. Having an early reservation at 5:30pm because we had a show to attend after, but it seems that the restaurant wasn't quite prepared to serve hot food on a cold~ish day. Don't get me wrong, the food (all steaks that our 2 couples ordered) was excellent quality, but when it... More

We braved the terrific cold to travel to Evanston for its acclaimed First Night on December 31. For many reasons (venues not readily apparent, too cold to trek between music sites etc) we gave up and enacted Plan B: we were starving. Across the way from where we raised our red flag, a curious pub-like restaurant beckoned. The décor was... More

Made an early evening reservation for New Years Eve with no problem. Since this was my first time dinning, I relied upon the reviews which indicated that there is music in the restaurant. However we were seated in the separate bar area which looked like a sports bar. Absolutely no music in the separate bar area. We discovered that there... More
