Surprisingly scrumptious

My daughter and I visited this little cafe today on Dempster Street in Evanston. From the outside, it looks quaint and cute and can easily be mistaken for your "ordinary cafe." However, the menu and service was well above ordinary. We tried the Blind Faith Salad which was so delicious, we both... read more

However, the menu and service was well above ordinary. We tried the Blind Faith Salad which was so delicious, we both ate our salad bowls entirely. That is rare.... More

Lived in Evanston many years and would take my daughter for breakfast - Healthy and hearty plates - not expensive but service wasn't great.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Chicago area. I've been eating there since they were one of those "order at the counter, sit on a chair that matches nothing else, bus your own table" places. They've become much more upscale now and even serve good wine in addition to the great tea options. Everything is vegetarian and... More

A 100 percent vegetarian restaurant that is a must go to even if your not vegetarian. A large choice of dishes from all over world prepared perfectly. The portions are extremely large so take a to go container so you can have desert. You must try the vegan chocolate peanut butter cake. It is truly the best cake I have... More

If you're a vegetarian but want something other than bland veggie burgers, this is the place for you. Onion/leek tart is outstanding, as are all the seitan dishes.

After all these years, this is still a good standby for vegetarian dishes! The prices were fair too. We didn't have room for dessert but Bakery looked very appetizing. Came recently for Brunch with friends & everyone found something yummy. Our server was excellent & gave great suggestions. If you have a small party there's outdoor seating with looked lovely... Walked in through the bakery/bistro area; the treats were eye candy. Next trip we will try the baked goods on our next visit, they all looked very good! The restaurant offers booth, tables, and outside seating. We started with the house white and 5 Rabbit beer; both very good. I had the Blind Faith Salad and the others had the... More

Nice enough place, nice enough people, nice enough food if you like this sort of thing. Been around forever. I'm a carnivore, though, and find the excessive "health nut" aspects of BF to be annoying. It's like Whole Foods in a booth.

As a vegetarian, I have frequented Blind Faith for some time. However, eventually it fell out of rotation. Recently I visited and was blown away by the new menu! There were at least 5 new things I couldn't wait to try (although I have tried them all now ;-)). Perhaps more importantly, everyone in our party - vegetarians and omnivores... More

The vegetarian offerings were delicious and there was much for a carnivore like myself to choose from and enjoy!
