This was my second Ethiopian dining experience. For those who have never been your food is served on a single, large platter (MESOB). A thin, pancake like bread (Injera) is served with your food. The Injera is your utensil (silverware). We went for lunch on a Sunday and were the first ones there. We enjoyed the Minchet abish (beef) Siga... More

I love Ethiopian food which is really a shame since I don't think we even have a restaurant in the state I live in currently (Alabama). Addis Abeba did not disappoint. I had the lamb with the lentil side and cabbage, carrot, and potato side. Because the food is served in the traditional communal method, I was able to try... More

The service was wonderful, the foods was good. It was the first time that I had Ethiopian food, not sure what to expect exactly, but it was definitely not bad, although not enough flavor. I like my food very flavorful with a nice spice.

After almost 8 years of dining here, starting with one grandchild and now up to three, our family of six had a most disappointing experience. We love the food but really didn't want to be lectured by our server who thought we should be ordering more, although we had wine, soft drinks and dessert, along with our entree of one... More

This place is always wonderful--a great selection of food, attentive staff and perfect ethiopian food. I tend to go out of my way to go here on my way back to WI it's that good! The restaurant isn't fancy, and the beer selection isn't much to speak of, but if you come for the food you won't be disappointed. As... More

It may just be it's too different from what we're used to (or don´t know what to expec)...or it's the combination of flavors (tumeric, cardamom, flavored butter, etc), mostly in a reddish sauce. They share their culture with us, and we can thank them for that. The best part were the injera...a huge rubbery tortilla-like, well, tortilla (Mexican, not Spanish)... More

One of our favorite restaurants and cuisines for boosting our spirits or escaping the ordinary. This is the place to take those who "freak out" at the idea of no cutlery or whose first impulse is to joke about "Ethiopian" food. Outside of no cutlery and the use of Injera bread, almost everything on the menu is something you will... More

A really enjoyable experience, goods ervice and tasty food. Eating by hand takes a little getting used to, but adds to the fun and authenticity. It is well worth going to eat here and the prices are reasonable.

I have eaten food from this cuisine in many US cities and overseas. This place is disappointing -- soggier "bread" for food dipping. Meats not well spiced, I don't just mean not hot, I mean not full flavored. Stews are too runny.
