Edzo's has been doing it and innovating for some time now. I love it, my family loves it. Can't beat a well made burger not to mention fries, and shake at a classic burger joint. Get there before the lines form!

I found Edzo's when I was researching on TA where to eat after our Northwestern visit. We love to try out new places when we travel, rather than sticking with the normal chains. In our group we tried a burger and I had a Chicago-style dog. That's a must when in/near Chicago, right? We also shared a loaded basket of... More

This place is legen(wait for it)dary in Evanston, especially for Northwestern students. They recently increased the hours of this heavenly establishment so that you can now enjoy dinner there as well. The food is great if you're expecting a greasy, delicious burger that relinquishes all the sorrows of academic life with every bite. When washed down with a shake of... More

I was with friends when I visited. I ordered the quarter pound char burger and fries. The burger was a little under cooked. The bun and dressing was good. The fries were plentiful but a little greasy. The atmosphere was crowded, plastic chair sheikh. Locals may like this one. It would not be my favorite.

Best burgers in town and shakes are excellent--the real deal. Can be crowded and noisy, so plan accordingly,

We had a delicious take-out lunch from Edzo's recently. Initially, when I had called, they said they were too busy for a phone order (little weird), so we ended up going in to order take-out. Everyone in our party got the Griddled Burger (4 oz), which was a perfect size with a milk-shake and small fries. All of the fries... More

Great Burger! $8.50 with cheese. Fries are all fresh cut. Milk shakes are worth $5 I really enjoy the place and go for lunch( they close at 3PM?) whenever I am in neighborhood. It is a great cheeseburger...not the best I even had but real close.

The hype is not hype. This is the real deal burger. Totally customizable (including natural, aged and/or grass-fed beef). And the fries are nuts, too. Oh, did I mention the shakes? Great layout, good buzz. Nice Evanston crowd. Not the cheapest burger in town, but fairly priced, delicious and served by a guy who knows what he stands for -... More

Not only is the owner of Edzo's a really great guy, but their food is incredible. The garlic fries are the light of my life and their burgers are reasonably priced and taste great. It does get a little crowded around meal time and the line can go to the door, so plan accordingly.

We ordered the 4-ounce grilled burgers with FF. The burgers were delicious. The bottom piece of the rolls were a little too hard, however. The FF were good, but not great. It would be great if they would add onion rings to their menu. The chocolate shakes were also delicious.
