Good neighborhood "eateria".

As Italian restaurants go, this is a nice local place that gives one a nice variety of comfort food. The prices are reasonable, the food tastes good, and the quantities are very ample. Our regular favorites are the pizzas, the smelts and the veal piccatta.

Jim and Petes never disappoints ! I have been a patron of this restaurant since I was a child, the food is outstanding! I recently had their chicken Rivera which was a boneless breast served with a maraniara sauce, usually the arrabiatta sauce, which is a bit to spicy for my taste. It was delicious! Another member of our party... More

Jim and Petes has a the best thin crust around. I knew other places are more popular and flashy but Jim and Petes recipe and quality is right up there. They always deliver pipping hot pizza in a timely manner. Over the years their prices have gone up, but so has every other place on earth. Do yourself a favor... More

They offer fine Italian cuisine which is reflected on their extensive menu. You can't go wrong with anything you order. The ambiance is comfortable, service is great and you don't feel rushed even on a busy Saturday evening although I recommend reservations.

Having just been to--and reviewed--an upscale-style Italian restaurant in Chicago last week, we went to Jim and Pete's, a real neighborhood place, a few days later with good friends. While I can't comment on the experience of the previous reviewer (I've never seen the kind of thing he/she mentions, not ever, having dined here for over twenty years), I can... More

Jim and Pete's has been in business for 41 years in essentially the same location - they moved across the street some years ago. Outstanding Italian specialties at a neighborhood price equals awesome value. I had the simple mostaccioli with a side of meatballs and a salad. The pasta was well prepared, the meatballs were "old world" and the salad... More

After a family outing, we decided to go for pizza. We descended on them with a group of 10, with no warning and they handled us smoothly and graciously. The pizza was great. The selection of beers and wines was very good. And the service was impeccable, especially when we kept flagging our waitress down to add more things to... More

Jim and Pete's is my favorite Italian restaurant in the Western Chicago suburbs. The pizza is always good, the pasta is home made, and you can get a wide variety of sauces for the pasta. Full bar with several TV screens for sports, fast and super friendly service makes every visit a treat. We had dinner a couple of times,... More

I order from this restaurant at least once a month since it's not too far. I don't usually eat in because it is not that big and it gets crowded at times. It's an open floor plan with the bar in the middle so it could get a bit noisy. But the food is really good (I love their shrimp... More
