Pricey but delicious

I will begin by saying this.. the food was delicious. I just have a tough time saying WOW because of the price and the portions. I had the shrimp n noodles and my son had the sweet n spicy chicken with rice. Spicy tuna sushi for an appetizer....4 little pieces.. Total bill was almost 40.00 with... read more

The noodle dishes are a solid "OK". Not awesome, but definitely OK. The steak salad is pretty poor. Tastes like iceberg lettuce and dried pieces of beef. The sushi is my favorite, BUT I wish they had more speciality roles without tempura shrimp. I feel as though nearly every one of their roles comes with this included. If they had... More

The food here for s consistently very good. Most entrees are very reliable, and the kitchen gets the food out in a very timely manner. Prices are very reasonable. The service however, is slow and inattentive. Look to this place for tasty takeout.

I would definitely return to Wok n' Fire. I haven't been here for close to twenty years, that's probably when it opened. I guess that's irrelevant, other than the fact that it's been here for so many years. That means that someone likes it. I guess I'd consider myself in that category now. I ordered the Szechwan stir fry. Next... More

I'm in a mixed marriage; my husband is an avid fan of Chinese food and I don't find it appealing. On a recent "Girls Day Out" Wok 'n Fire was selected as our destination and I found the perfect place for the husband to satisfy his craving for Chinese while I enjoy sushi or Thai. It is an ideal place... More

Moving from downtown Chicago, I was concerned about losing all the great sushi restaurants I frequented. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the sushi is at Wok N Fire. The prices are downtown prices, but deserved. I do wish that the had more roles without tempura shrimp. My husband also loves their pad thai and Lar Nar. I had... More

Stopped by Wok 'n Fire for a carry-out curry while in town. the flavor was kind of bland, mostly frozen vegetables and curry out of the jar. The rice was flavorless and dry. Certainly not what I expected for the price. Will find a different restaurant the next time I am in town.

This was my third visit to this location. I had reservations for 6:30 and was seated by 6:35. I had ordered the Bangkok Garlic Pepper with shrimp, vegetable fried rice and a bottle of Sapporo and a glass of water. The beer was delivered fairly quickly, but had to ask my server, Kendra, twice for the water. The food was... More

We dined here spur of the moment and had always had good experiences and delicious food previously. This time, not so much. For appetizers we had edamame and calamari which was very fresh and crispy. We ordered tuna med rare which was extremely salty, and we like salt, but this was so salty we barely ate it. Another diner had... More

Very small, quaint restaurant. Very good food. Friendly owner and waitstaff. The variety on the menu makes sure everyone will find something they like.
