Whenever I am in the area, I stop by for brunch or lunch over the past 20 years. The food and service are good. The little shop is always interesting. I love the biscuits and the omelets.

I have coming to Our Kitchen for over 15 years and am never disappointed. The have wonderful omelets that are baked. They are light and fluffy. The apple pancake is a treat. It is enough for 4 people. The atmosphere is cute. The gift shop has lots of one of a kind items. The service is always top notch.

I've never met a person who didn't like Our Kitchen. That being said, there are some good points made by some of the negative reviews. However, to be honest, we've never had a problem with the service or the food. As another reviewer noted, the omelet is baked. It comes out like a soufflé. I highly recommend the Farmhouse Omelet.... We stopped in today for a change of venue. Cute interior. Service was good. Food is "meh". And pricey! Three breakfasts with coffee, 1 fruit cup - $52 with a tip. Ouch! 'nuf said. We'll stick with Dappers or Sunmist.

Our Kitchen In Elmhurst is one of the great throwbacks to the old pancake houses. It has true old fashioned pancakes, such as German pancakes, Swedish pancakes, flapjacks, etc. They are all terrific, and true to form. Most restaurants now serve what they call swedish pancakes, but they are really just regular pancakes made a little thinner. This is the... More

Today we had breakfast at Our Kitchen. I always love coming here because they have a wonderful breakfast. Today I had the German Apple pancake.....which is huge and could feed a family. Really it is the size of a medium pizza. The pancake is stuffed with thin sliced apples wonderful sugar topping. My husband likes their flapjacks which are sorta... More

I have celiac and was disappointed that they had no gluten free pancakes on their menu. I was then frustrated that they would not substitute fruit or cottage cheese instead of the pancakes/toast. I was offered sliced tomato which I do not care for. The owner of the restaurant came to the table and just smiled and said you can... More

We went to Our Kitchen on Sunday and the food was very poor, prepared incorrectly, (my daughter's omelette was filled with onions that she did not ask for) so we sent it back. My omelette, bacon and Swiss has a pocket of greasy bacon and cheese could not be found. Our $14.00 apple pancake was under cooked and missing half... More

We love the apple pancake and divide it with an order of bacon. If we don't split it we need to take half home. The spinach bacon omelette is the best I have ever eaten and I compare all others to this one. I order it with the english muffin and their delicious jam. The prices are a little high... More
