Wife and I ate here after reviewing restaurants in the Effingham area on TA. Was a little taken back when we saw that the place was empty on a Friday night, but decided to try it nonetheless. Their ad promoted the tamales which is my favorite Mexican dish. We ordered the Queso and chrizo dip with our chips. It was... More

Everything was fresh and it was awesome to find somewhere to eat on our trip that wasn't typical fast food! I highly recommend the taco salad, their salsa, and their steak chimichanga! A must stop whenever we pass through!!

This was a great little Mexican dive we found off the interstate. Not the typical jarred-tasting sauces...everything was homemade and had an authentic taste. The salsa was my favorite part!! Great homemade corn tortillas for the tacos too!

I have eaten here before, and told my friend that it would be perfect for lunch since we both love Mexican. The chips were served along with our nachos, so the chips in both were fairly stale. We had to search for the meat in our pile of nachos. The guacamole was decent. Wish we had gone to one of... More

My wife read a review concerning Taqueria Don Pedro's so we decided to give it a try. The food was very good and our plates were loaded with more food than we could eat. Many people were getting carryouts which, to me, spoke well for favorability of the food. Prices were reasonable. We would give it another try!

We met up with family and had a great dinner. We each drove 2 hours fifteen minutes and it was so worth it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, thank you Lili! Everything we ordered was top notch, great flavor, and made to order, served hot. Portion sizes large and priced appropriately. Best we have had in a long... More

We had dinner last night at Don Pedro and were reminded again why this place is our regular spot for dining out. From the authenticity of the food to the freshness of the ingredients. Have had several things on the menu but my favorite is the zarape. Very family friendly environment and the staff is about a friendly as it... More

This little restaurant looks a little rough on the outside, but the interior and food are quite nice. Its run by a very nice family, and their service is good and friendly. The price is the same as most sit down places, but you definitely get what you pay for here.

I was just passing through town and tried this little Mexican place. It was clean and neat and the food was delicious! The chips were warm and fresh, the salsa was homemade, and my entree was excellent. I had the enchiladas with a variety of meats, and all were good. The toppings (the green sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and avocado)... More
