Struck Out Twice At Other Places, Did Well to Find GCFB

Two other places I went to the kitchen was closed. I was happy to find GCFB. I started out with the beer cheese soup and ordered the fish taco trio. I sat at the bar and Carson the bartender was great. The food was great and I'd come back. I'm from out of town and we don't have any GCFBs... read more

I'd rather go to Logan's across the street than get charged $27 for a $15 steak. And since when us it OK to charge extra for asparagus that looks like thin strands of mini asparagus? They were literally appalling runts of a leftover crop. That's the last time I go there.

This was our second visit to GCFB and unfortunately, for the second time we experienced terrible service. The bartenders were very attentive and allowed us to sample many of the beers for free before choosing one to enjoy while we waited for our table. We waited about 45 minutes for a table. Once we were seated, our server was slow... More

Went in for dinner and was pleased with the meal. The service was good (even if it was a bit slow) and the food tasted good. I would recommend this restaurant if you're in the area and I would've given them 4 stars if it wasn't for the price.

The wait was about 30 mn. We had to change tables because the one ww sat at was not cleaned properly. My wife noticed that the person cleaning the table would first wipe the table outward then use the same cloth to clean the chairs or booth seat. And then repeat on the same on the next table. The waitress... More

My four sisters and I brought our Mom here for the Sunday brunch. We have very different tastes about what we like for brunch, but all were thrilled by our meals. The favorite was the Eggs Benedict station where you can have a variety of toppings, including, of course, the best and most delicious Hollandaise sauce. Our Mom really enjoyed... More

I was recommend this restaurant by my hotel. I found the place over all good. The service was very good, the heiffenweiser was excellent, even if that is the wrong spelling. The food was like Applebee's meh...Not bad but not great

I ate at the bar on a Monday. They recommended the Tomato Bacon Flatbread. I had that with The Duke Pale Ale. Bar tv does not play audio. The decor was nice and service good. Flatbread pizza was awesome.

In many ways we liked it. Its a nice looking restaurant and nice atmosphere with a fun-looking menu. There were plenty of wait-staff and we were greeted in a friendly and welcoming way. Service was very good with a longer wait than normal for food. But, the problem was the food -- someone's not minding the store in the back.... More

Granite City is a great place to grab a burger, fries and a cold beverage during the week but on Sunday everything gets even better. The brunch is a nice mixture of breakfast and lunch items. You start with a variety of scones (raspberry with white chocolate chips are the best!) and some fresh fruit. They have a soup and... More
