An Irish Snack After the Theater

Stopped in for a quick bite after the West Town Chorus Christmas concert. A great annual show! The pub runs specials for couple of months and have a selection of beer. For January it was bacon totts, bleu mac'n cheese burger, and pork belly BLT. They offer a slection of irish fare like boxty's... read more

This is a reliable pub with good burgers and fries, and a nice selection of sandwiches, some Irish specialties, beers and cocktails. If you're not expecting gourmet dining, you'll have a great time here.

This is a classic Irish Pub, with great staff, great beer, great atmosphere and better food then you'd expect from a pub! The group that created this pub (and it's two 'sister' pubs) went over to Ireland, studied real Irish Pubs (I would have loved to help do that research!) bought a bunch of pub furnishings (doors, shelves, church confessional,... I am not a beer drinker and when the bartender came to the table I told him why I did not drink beer and he said that he had a beer I should try. He came back with a small glass which I tried it was the first beer I ordered in 40 years and it was great. The lunch... More

Figured we would try this restaurant for dinner. As we were seated outside in their patio, the table next to us had a yelping little poodle. Don't get me wrong but I am all for rescue or help dogs in training but not a spoiled little dog in ribbons which barked at every passer by coming down the alley way.... More

Great atmosphere with excellent live music. Very friendly staff who work very hard to keep your glass full.

after 72 years on this earth I have to admit that nothing...absolutely nothing...influences my restaurant/bar experience more than rude service. Sitting at Ballydoyle while my wife/daughter participate in painting class. Bartender is what I would call passive aggressive. Doesn't want to be here. So she pretends to be friendly, but never a really engages customers. Says the right things, but... More

I went to Ballydoyle for a quick lunch with colleagues before a work event. The atmosphere is really nice and they have seating available outside which works well on a beautiful day. I had the Avocado Chicken Sandwich which was delicious. The bread was fresh and the chicken was cooked well and the avocado was perfectly ripe. I look forward... More

I used to go to the Ballydoyle in Bloomingdale, and was so sad when they closed. When I heard of this one, I was super excited. But the food isn't anything compared to the other location. Potatoes soup was borderline flavorless. The corn beef bites were just gross. Smothered them in spicy mustard to make them edible. My husbands corn... More
