spent time in Korean as part of a university cultural exchange program. That was where I fell in love with many Korean dishes. New Seoul has some of the best Korean food I have had outside of Korea. They have the authentic charcoal grills at the table. Every time we are in the area we make it a point to... More

Was here alone, so I didn't do the whole BBQ-at-the-table thing. A bit intimidating, as the menu is mostly in Korean with just a bit of English description. Had the Bi Bim Bap (excellent), and the side pickles / kimchi / etc. were all quite good. I'd like to come back with a group and try the BBQ menu.

Korean BBQ at the table. So much fun! The soup and meats are excellent. Lots of veggies. If your not interested in BBQ they have a full menu.

After a long trip eating bland airline food in a nasty economy seat, New Seoul was a welcome relief. The crispy seafood pancake (pa jun) and well marinated bbq short ribs (kalbi) cut through the jet lag to provide a satisfying supper. As with many Korean bbq's, there's a two order minimum for charcoal grilling, so our single kalbi order... More

Stopped in here when I was early for an O'Hare departure and still had my car. Good choice!! The spicy kimchi stew (kimchi jigae?) was outstanding and perfect on a snowy evening. I'll have to try the BBQ next time. Can't believe reviewers have complained that a Korean BBQ place got smoky....

We spent New Year's Day lunch at the New Seoul restaurant. I had been to Korean BBQ before a long time ago when I lived in Asia but not with charcoal. The friendly owner came over and asked if he could tell a few suggestions. When we tried to order more food he said it was not much. We agreed... More

My husband and I ate there one night while passing through. Food was delicious. An older Korean gentleman was very helpful explaining how the koreans usually like to cook the food and combine it with all the sides, frequently checking in on us. He told us he does that because he felt that if we didn't cook it right, we... More

My family and I went to celebrate my birthday and I called to make reservations based on some reviews speaking highly about the place. Well I was disappointed, the service was poor and I do overlook it when the food is good as it is at this place but we had no help the server was so unhelpful and seemed... More

Pros: * The food is fantastic, fresh, and prepared daily on premises * The Bulgogi & Kalbee are our favorite dishes * Get to BBQ your meal over oak wood charcoal in the center of your table * The side dishes are really delicious and fun * They'll bring you as much of the side dishes as you want, without...
