We ordered delivery through grub hub. Selected pizza, mixed appetizers and a pasta dish. All three were average at best; will not be ordering from them again.

Ate there a few times until I ordered fried chicken. The meal was slow in coming and when it arrived the chicken was raw. I called the manager over and showed him the chicken. He took the meal away and ordered me another dinner. It took so long to arrive that the three other people had finished their meals. Terrible food... More

This place used to be a town favorite. Lasagna and chicken to die for. No more. New management raised prices and cut portion sizes. We will be cutting this place out of the restaurants we go to.

Leona's was one of our favorite restaurants. On this last visit, it was evident things had changed, and not in a good way. Gone is the fun menu full of interesting organic fare. The current menu is small and lacks variety. The food quality has declined significantly as well. The salads have been stripped of the complexity that made them... More

Enjoy the pizza nicely cooked, with interesting toppings like pineapple, tomatoes, and the usual pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms. Pleasant atmosphere and prices are reasonable. New owner has taken over, and improvements are noticed. Men's room was clean, and hot water was available to wash hands. We'll definitely return. Parking is free in the lot.

We used to looove leona's. We came all the time. The kids loved the kids meals (which were free with adult meals) and the little desserts they brought after dinner. BUT we went last week and everything was different. Portion sizes shrank, kids meals no longer free... AND they gave them less! 2 of my kids had to eat again... More

In an excellent location with a very nice atmosphere, if you are looking for pizza or other types of Italian food, and you're in the area of downtown Des Plaines, this is a good choice. The service was excellent, though we did happen to be the first ones in when they opened. From the lasagna, to the pizza, to the... More

We enjoyed a delicious dinner this past weekend at Leona's. They apparently are famous for their homemade cheese lasagna. Wow! I make a mean lasagna but I have to say this might have been a tad bit better than my own. The lasagna was served with marinara or meat sauce. I chose the meat sauce and was not disappointed. I... Great décor, felt very cozy. Loved the old music videos playing. Ordered the Shrimp, scallops, and tomato fettuccine with chicken noodle soup. Everything was homemade. The soup had large chunks of chicken, the fettuccine had a lot of shrimp and scallops with real cheese over it. Only problem was I ate it all and do not want to think of... More
