Excellent food, but be prepared to wait, because the restaurant is small, it is BYOB and people linger. Worth the wait if you have the time.

Absolutely awesome! It's a family run restaurant with a great menu (I had the seafood linguine special and my friend had the gnocchi with meat sauce). We both had dessert and paid less than $60. Fresh food is worth the price - this is NOT Olive Garden! I'll be coming back for sure!

Seven of us went to Via Roma on a Friday night. We had reservations for 6pm, and when we got there the place was packed. We had to wait an hour, but since it was BYOB, it was nice to sip our wine and chat while we waited. The restaurant brought us bruschetta to apologize for the long wait, which... More

Every time we visit the food is excellent. This small family run restaurant serves terrific fish, veal and pasta dishes. If you're not sure what to order try the daily special and you won't go wrong. There are a couple downsides. They're only open Wed-Sat nights and the place is very small. If you don't mind eating later then go... More

Great little place with big taste. Food was excellent. Staff is warm and welcoming. The owner came by the table to check on our experience. Great find and the BYOB option is a big plus!!

Great chef and the menu is constantly changing. We've really expanded our culinary tastes and everything is always great.

I can't say enough about Via Roma. Over the last few years we have brought family, friends, and business partners to this restaurant for lunch, dinner and Christmas parties. I think we actually go here 2-3 times a week when I am in town. The food is exceptional. Alessandro, the owner is also the chef. He was born and raised... More

Via Roma reminds me of the trattorias in Rome. It is small, friendly, and loud and the food is fresh and made to order. The appetizer with the buratta, olives and prosciutto is excellent to share. The daily specials on the blackboard are often your best bet, although the thin crust pizzas are usually tasty. My favorite is probably the... More

This place is the best italian outside Chicago! We are foodies, and there are few italian places outside Chicago that are this good! We went on Friday at 745, and it was full, when we called they said 30 min but when we got there they had one 2 person table left, perfect! It is free corkage so we brought... More

After reading all the positive reviews I decided to try Via Roma. Ordered the pasta with clams, mussels and shrimp in spicy marinara sauce. Basically tasteless... No herbs, no garlic, no spice. I loaded it up with hot pepper flakes and some black pepper to help it out. Bottom line- the BYOB is a nice touch but the meal was... More
