Just to be up front, I've never had anything from this place besides a double char burger with merkt's cheddar. Which I view as the best burger I've ever had at a place not named Kuma's Corner. I simply do not come here enough to justify ordering anything else from this place. Get yourself a three layer fry (sour cream,... More

I'm so glad to work a mile from this establishment! Going here for lunch is an absolute highlight. The service is friendly, the owners (brothers) are always there and make the atmosphere. And the food. Oh my goodness! Their bacon cheddar burger with grilled onions is so good that my mouth is watering just typing about it. I'm not a... More

We've been going for years. Waiting? Worth it! You don't need to know much more than everyone in line is happy to be there. If you're near Des Plaines, this is a classic place that you must try.

Paradise Pup is hands down one of my favorite foodie attractions in Illinois. Don't let lines and the size of this place scare you away! The Char Cheddar Burgers and the 3 layer fries (fries, sour cream, Merkts cheddar, and bacon) are OUT OF THIS WORLD. And if you can save some room, the milkshakes are creamy and totally hit... More

This is a River Road-side teeny tiny place with 4-6 bar stools at counters, also picnic tables with umbrellas outside. Either in or out you have to like your fellow foodies, 'cuz you have to share your space.....with eaters and wait line. But that's the beauty of it... WE love this place, the cheddar burger is the best, made to... More

You have to get to "the Pup" early if you are on a lunch schedule. You can't be in a rush here. And there is no real indoor dining area other than a skinny counter where you can rub backs with the line of people ordering... think sardine can. The thing to do is eat outside on the picnic tables.... More

This place is like home; Great chicken sandwich, love the triple layer fries... Seating sucks, best to take food home. All seating is outdoor only.

A tiny little spot on the side of the road - get in line, it goes quickly! Have a char burger with whatever you want, they have it all - didn't try the 3 way fries this time but they looked tempting! Service is swift and exact - they know how to move the line - you can eat inside... More

It's everything as advertised. Having been on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives the crowds are as expected. But this really is a local place and hasn't changed anything with the additional exposure. The burgers with melted cheese, add grilled onions, are exceptional. The hot dogs are as good as any in the Chicago area. If you can wait go after 12:30... More

The smell when you drive past just brings you in. The food is good. Often there is a line of 15+ people waiting to get in. Just a few seats inside, but picnic tables outside in the nice weather.
