If a sausage were a dog

I ordered Char Polish sausage and an order of fries. When I got looked, smelled and tasted like a hotdog. however they insisted it was a Polish sausage. I can't believe so many other places have gotten it wrong all of these years. Now if it were a hot dog that I was eating I would say it was... read more

This place has been a favorite for YEARS!!! Always fresh and always busy!! So, my advice is get there EARLY and be ready with your order!! The burgers are fantastic and messy :) The chicken teriyaki sandwich is great, the tuna is yummy, the fries are awesome (3 layer are my fave) the shakes are DELISH!! All in all it... More

There is always a line. The burgers are great, but you need patience and a sunny day. You don't to stand outside in the rain.

I wanted to try this place of Diners Drive-ins and Dives fame since I was in the area, had to. This is a dive, to be sure; very limited seating. A line out the door in below freezing dinner was a clear indicator of the caliber of food. Three of us ordered the standard Bacon Cheeseburger and onion rings. Everything... More

Long lines start at lunch time. People addicted to their burgers are willing to wait to move up to the counter which reminds me of the Seinfelds Soup Nazi. Straight faced order takers can answer questions by pointing to chalk boards while fellow customers roll their eyes at the obvious amatuers. So, what's the deal? GREAT BURGERS!!! DUH!!

Just to be up front, I've never had anything from this place besides a double char burger with merkt's cheddar. Which I view as the best burger I've ever had at a place not named Kuma's Corner. I simply do not come here enough to justify ordering anything else from this place. Get yourself a three layer fry (sour cream,... More

I'm so glad to work a mile from this establishment! Going here for lunch is an absolute highlight. The service is friendly, the owners (brothers) are always there and make the atmosphere. And the food. Oh my goodness! Their bacon cheddar burger with grilled onions is so good that my mouth is watering just typing about it. I'm not a... More

We've been going for years. Waiting? Worth it! You don't need to know much more than everyone in line is happy to be there. If you're near Des Plaines, this is a classic place that you must try.
