The service was adequate, but the food just wasn't on a level with the pricing. The falafel seemed to be a box mix, the crust on the meat and spinach pies also seemed lacking in flavor. The lentil soup was thin and a bit too lemony. Sort of disappointing after having seen all the positive reviews - makes me wonder... More

I love this place! The food always makes me happy. I have only disliked one item that I ordered out of several trips. The food is great, fresh, authentic and a nice change from typical DeKalb offerings. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be eating here again soon. My favorite items on the menu is the pitaza and... More

Our family of 4 stopped here after touring NIU. So glad we did. Started off with the orange blossom lemonade, homemade with real sugar. Delicious. Then had the sampler plate of appetizers- each was better than the last. The baba ganoush was everyone's favorite, but the hummus and muhummara with delicious as well. Chicken shwarma was a favorite at our... More

Truly enjoy Mediterraneo! Lucky to have such a unique place in DeKalb. If this place was in the burbs or city it would be packed and you'd stand in line to get in! The feta stuffed dates with balsamic are a "must have" appetizer for us. Love the different savory "pies" on the menu! Order a couple different flavors to... More

I was a guest at a recent wedding rehearsal dinner. They opened the restaurant just for us. A pleasant and unobtrusive jazz combo played, there was an open bar with a great wine and beer selection (Goose Island's Matilda was my favorite). There was plenty of hummus, pita, and standard Mediterranean fare as well as a date roasted meat that... More

I had humus and a small glass of wine with friends while "killing time." All was ok. I have not experience a full meal here.

This is a pleasant find in such a small university town. The atmosphere was inviting, including live music. The mixed kabobs, falafel and Greek salad were very flavorful and fresh. I recommend it for a change from local fare.

We tried several dishes and each was well made with quality ingredients. I particularly liked the baba ganoush and hummus appetizer plate. My husband had the meat kabobs and said they were very good. I had the eggplant wrap which was good but the wrap itself was too big for the amount of filling. All in all we will go... More

TripAdvisor sent us clear out of town by following its navigation. Had to recalculate with TomTom, turned around and came back into town. When you go in, the most romantic table is by the window. But don't sit there. It's the worst table for service, they forget about you. The Turkish coffee wasn't the greatest but it was okay. The... More
