This was the first stop on our 3500 mile road trip. I found Gross' via a couple web searches and like what I saw and read. So glad we made the stop as a family. The decor is a fantastic tribute to the USMC and is no-nonsense type of place. The burgers were excellent and you get enough fries to... More

Came here with a group of my co-workers before our night shift. We found Gross Burgers on Trip Advisor and decided to give this place a go. When you arrive you realize that you came here to sit down a grab a burger. It's a great place to stop and get that quick meal and the food was delicious. If... More

I always have to get the double Cheeseburger. They are fantastic. My wife gets the Pizza Burgers. She says they are very good. If you like French Fries, you'll be in heaven. You get a pound of them with your order

A local favorite for burgers and fries. Huge portions with great flavor. The hamburgers are thin with crispy edges. The fries have a garlic taste. A must for those looking for good home cooked taste and value.

Stopped in with friends. We all had order different burgers. I had the Pizza Burger which was a bit messy but very good. I split an order of french fries with my wife and still had plenty left over. The other two people had single hamburgers which they were extremely pleased with. This place is owned by a former Marine... More

The mozzarella burger is a fine sandwich. So is the pizza burger, but it is a bit messy. The garlic salt on the fries is awesome as well. I remember when the place was so small that Mr. Gross needed only to have the grill on to heat the place. Now, with inside seating, it is even nicer. There isn't... More

Found Gross' Burgers on Tripadvisor preparing for a short trip to Danville, IL. Myself, my wife, and our 14 year old daughter stopped in on a Saturday early evening and were not disappointed. Cheeseburgers were to die for, enough fries to have an extra order, and our daughter had a chocolate shake that she loved, and she knows milk shakes!... More

When on the road we always look for a non chain, non fast food place with authentic burgers, shakes and fries. We were in Danville for a car show and found this place in Westville. Just south of town. The name sounds bad but it was great. Crowded with locals is always a good sign. I'd go back anytime!

Burgers were thin and crispy. I had a double and it was satisfying. I think I could have had a single and it would have been enough. The fries however. Enough for one and enough to share. Just don't go on Sunday as they are closed. So good. I will go again. And to speak to cleanliness. There was a... More

I liked this restaurant but there are definite issues. I asked the girl taking our order how much their beef patties weighed and was told "I don't know" and given the "stinkeye". It appeared that no one was responsible for cleaning tables therefore we had to just pick the "least dirty" table to use. The burgers were outstandingly fresh and... More
