They have the best corned beef sandwiches and potato pancakes ever! Their soup kicks too!! They are neighborhood friendly and always are fast and tasty!

Stopped in after church and we were in the mood for cabbage soup, very tasty and filling. My wife likes the chopped liver which was a full sandwich and wasn't even the NY style size. She made it her way by building her own sandwich. A good way to get what you like. I had the lox platter which was... More

Bergstein's is one of my favorite places to grab lunch or dinner. The brisket is amazing. Knishes are quite tasty as well. The only complaint- I've noticed that the portions are smaller than they used to be. Definitely give this family owned business a chance- you won't regret it!

A wonderful spot for a quick lunch or light supper. I love their potato pancakes and chicken soups. The matzo balls are super good. Other restaurants in the area serve only breakfast and lunch so having a non-fast food place to eat supper is priceless. The bread pudding alone is worth the trip. Always been clean and the service is... More

Everything, and I mean everything, is good. The chicken noodle soup is better than homemade. The butternut squash soup is to die for. The homemade potato chips hit the spot. I haven't found a sandwich that I don't like. Everything is made to order and worth the wait.

Real authentic New York deli style corned beef, pastrami, knishes, hot dogs.Maybe the only place in he South Chicago Suburbs for real Black and White cookies. Portions seem to be getting smaller though.

All in all, not bad. Their sandwichs would be much better if they used the same type of rye as they do at Manny's (I believe they get their corned beef from Manny's). I guess I am spoiled. But if you can't make it to the South Loop, Bergstein's will do in a pinch.

First time at this deli. Had the Bensonhurst sandwich (pastrami & corned beef on rye). Fantastic flavor and ample portion for lunch. If youre in the area and love real ny style deli food, give this one a try.
