Very Different!

This is one of our favorite places in the city. The food is excellent, non-traditional Italian, the service is always great and the people watching delivers. If you're lucky enough to be seated at the corner window you get to watch the action outside in one of the most exciting parts of Chicago. We usually go here with our adult... More

First time visiter, picked the place because of menu. Love it. We went for full dinner, what we had was outstanding, we shared the chick pea octopus as an appetizer. She had the scallops, lentle with brussel sprouts and I the shrimp, squid ink pasta with duck cracklings. All were original, really good and at an accessible price. If you... More

We were there on a Saturday evening early and restaurant was not busy yet. The waiter, who was very good, kept urging appetizers. None of us were much of drinkers and were in a hurry to get to a nearby theater so all but one skipped the appetizers. We found out why later when the meal was served, the portions... More

Went for the Glazed & Infused donuts but decided to go in the adjoining restaurant. Had the Muffuletta sandwich - very good and the Donut Trio also very good as they are donuts after all. Definitely try the Maple bacon Long John.

Good selection of entrees on the menu followed by great food was all one could ask for. Along with 20+ beers to choose from, this dining experience was one of the better ones.

We loved the food, hated the waiting for it. We had the Calamari and their spicy pizza, which we loved. Whilst we loved the food and the people watching the service was dodgy and was trading on the what and not the here and now. Having said this our first two choices for a Wednesday night meal both had a... More

Take the blue line to Milwaukee and you'll find Francesca's Forno nearby. Stroll around a bit to sneak a peak at vintage clothing, high-end candle shops, perfumeries, cutting edge designer shoes and bags, or bicycle shops. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, but this place has a view of the scene. Grab a seat at a high top table and... More

Lunch menu was eclectic and plenty of choices. Service was efficient but somewhat uneven. Excellent bread. Iced tea - tasteless. Good items on the menu were the pasta (w/shrimp) - expertly prepared with great tasting fresh ingredients. Average were the calamari and salads. Well below average - mushroom pizza - poor quality all around.
