Had a good Steak at a Seafood Resturant

Had Steak at a Seafood Restaurant. Although known for their seafood, I had the Fillet and stuffed shrimp and my other party had the sea bass and we both thought the meals were very good. The tenderloin was as expected, tender and cooker as ordered. We also ate outside on the patio as the weather... read more

Visited the restaurant for a late dinner. Had oysters in non-season, I can admit that they were quite good and crab bisque which was way too salty. The waiters are nice but nothing special really comparing with another restaurants in Chicago.

Nice ambiance, friendly staff, wonderful food. From the Lobster Bisque to the Blue Marlin to the shrimp to the sides and the drinks. All well done and at a more reasonable price than one would expect in this neighborhood.

The wife and I were looking for a place to eat near our hotel and found this gem. We were seated immediately and a server appeared almost as quickly. She provided the specials, then made a few suggestions for each of the courses. She suggested the Shrimp Kisses as a starter; you must try them, I could have eaten a... More

First time at this steak house and we were not disappointed! We tried the Coconut Shrimp and Crab Dish to start with. Both were very good! We also tried the kobo hamburger which was huge and my friend enjoyed! I had the steak and lobster which was prepared perfect! Included some veggies and potatoes on the plate! Perfect dinner! Want... We visited on a Saturday night so I expected the restaurant to be busy. The main restaurant had a 30 minute wait but the bar area had no wait at all so we plumped for the bar. There was only one person working behind the bar and only one waitress evident. We were told it was table service but I've never... More

Stopped in for lunch on a beautiful day and was surprised to find ample seating. While the hostess/host station was empty, my wait was short and the greeting seemed sincere. Once seated it took several minutes for a server to greet me even though he passed by a few times. Once he took my order a second server rushed over... More

I dined here on a Monday night, in the bar area. Not many people were in there. There seemed to be one waiter and one bartender. Service was slow, but staff was friendly. I order hummus as a starter because it would be quick and I was starving. It was not quick and when it came out, the pita bread... More

This place was amazing!!!!!!! The service was top notch! I'm not much of a seafood eater but our waitress gave me a few suggestions. The food presentation was spectacular and the taste absolutely amazing! The food took a little longer than expected to arrive at our table but was very fresh! The appetizers and desserts were also fantastic (note-the appetizers... More

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
