Great Food---Nice Happy Hour!

We visited here for Happy Hour---drinks and appetizers. It was a great choice. They have a nice selection of beers and wines and a happy hour bar menu. We had the firecracker shrimp and artichoke dip. Both were excellent. We also couldn't resist the cinnamon ice cream. The 10-year old port... read more

The short summary: we'll be back. The longer explanation: we've been coming to this branch of McCormick and Schmick's, off and on, for just over ten years, but through no fault of the restaurant, we hadn't been back for a couple of years....well, in the interim, it was bought out by Landry's. And the change shows in the menu. (I'd... More

Service was excellent. Had reservations. Got there early and seated right away. The seafood selection is immense. My daughter had the stuffed shrimp and I chose the 13 oz NY Strip. We had the bacon wrapped shrimp for appetizeers. The steak was merely average...tender and cooked perfectly...but it lacked any seasoning. I wondered when the server brought it why she... More

Fantastic service and food. This was our first night in Chicago and we wanted to enjoy a restaurant that didn't force us in to private dining. Absolutely terrific.

Whistle stop tour of Chicago on business had to end with an all American Burger experience. Brief was clear, it had to be typically American! Burger and a Beer (even though I don't like Beer!) Great bartender Gregory soon got into the spirit of things and allowed me the pleasure of tasting out three or four beers before choosing. Cheese... More

I visited the Chicago McCormick & Schmick's Restaurant the second time this March. It's a good seafood and steakhouse restaurant but certainly not exceptional. I am not sure whether you can expect exceptional service & food because, although McCormick & Schmick's has a good name to it - it's still a chain restaurant. So I guess the food and service... The food was ok, but no better than that, and the prices were too high given the standard of the food. I think this restaurant has pretentions to be something better than it is, I have certainly eaten far better in Chicago and paid less for the priviledge. The best part was the crab cakes which were full of crab... More

We ate here Saturday evening and had no problem getting a table. For an appetizer we ordered shrimp cocktail - cocktail sauce was very good with a little horseradish. We've had better shrimp, I would say they were just average. Split a Cesar salad which was just okay. Our fish entrees made up for the appetizer and salad. My husband... More

I went there with a group of friends on business. Reservations were easy within an hour or so of seating on a Sat night (in Jan. you know -wind and snow). We ordered drinks. As perfect, shard of ice and to the rim martinis as I've ever had! Then, we ordered dinner. I had grilled mahi mahi which is served... More
