Good seafood, great service

We took my elderly parents here for dinner. The entrance was handicapped accessible with several staff ready and willing to help get a wheelchair and walker into the restaurant. I had called ahead and asked for a table not a booth to accommodate our needs. They remembered to seat us as I had... read more

We were staying at Sofitel next door for business meetings, arrived late and dropped in McCormick's for dinner. 5 people total. Waitress seemed really indifferent and aloof. Took some work to understand special's and menu. It was a week night, about 8 pm, and many tables were open yet our food took a long time to arrive. It tasted very... More

The food was okay. The flavors were a hit and miss. We ordered 3 appetizers came out cold. Which lunch time was empty in the dining room but not the bar. Our food was average but kinda of cold. Service was ok by the server but, The Sales Manager is great and walks around the tables. The restaurant is a... More

Had lunch here and it was quite enjoyable. The ambience was outstanding. Great view of Rush Street. The wait staff was awesome. Our waiter, Collin, was super attentive. The lobster bisque was very good. The buttermilk fried shrimp were just ok.

We generally like this chain restaurant at this location. However, the walleye pike was not to usual standards. I was remiss not to mention it, I am sure they would have made it right. The service was good . But the food was mediocre at best.

McCormick and Scmicks is a steak and seafood chain. The quality varies between locations. The steaks are generally cooled a little on the well side. I'm starting to think that some restaurants do that so you won't see the marbling which is easier to see when the steak is cooked rare. The service is good in that they correct any... More

We went to this restaurant on our last night of a 3 day stay in Chicago and we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent meals, service and the ambience. We had delicious prawns and flounder dishes both of which were outstanding ;as were the desserts. The price is reasonable and the restaurant is beautifully presented. Forget about other restaurants, just... More

My husband and I were bar hopping in CHI-TOWN and wound up casually walking in to this establishment to be greeted immediately as we seated ourselves at the bar. Our servers were Stephanie and Timothy for the evening and as we sat and contemplated which cocktail we were going to have, Timothy took his time to visit with us about... More

We walked across the street from our hotel Sofitel to this well appointed restaurant and bar. Had a delicious dinner and wonderful waiter and attentive service.

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
