Great Lunch

Incredible lunch. The best Club sandwich I've ever had; dense, thin, crustless bread with perfectly cooked fried egg and moist roast chicken. Fries (fresh cut) were sensational. Sesame Seared Yellowfin Tuna was so so good. Great experience. Thank you.

We went here one evening in February when it was absolutely freezing as it was very close to our hotel. We were seated straight away and enjoyed a mocktail/cocktail before ordering food. The food was very good and the service was efficient. Glad we went here- had my first American grilled cheese sandwich here!

I have had dinner at the Luxbar. The food is good quality, after all it is owned by the same group that owns the renowned Gibsons Steakhouse across the street and Hugos. This is the more casual and price reasonable themed place. Full menu of items, but has a nice bar atmosphere. When 4 of us had dinner on the... More

Local spot finally had a chance to check out this morning. Reading the reviews prior- I read a lot of raves on the waffles. Not being a waffle person, I ordered the skillet which pretty solid. However, my dining companion ordered the waffles and I tried them... The most lite and flavor-full thing I've ever put in my mouth. I'm... More

First time here and I have to say I WILL be back. The amount of whiskey/bourbon/scotch that they have on hand can be overwhelming but the friendly staff talked be through exactly what I was looking for. A BIG plus is I got to try something new that I never would have ordered in most other places. Now the problem... More

Had dinner with a friend while watching Bulls playoff game. Seted in Bar - Ok for event. A bit tight. Smart attentive wait staff and wait trainee. Good pace - not too rushed. Calamari was good, Fried Chicken overrated. Don't feel compelled to go for the food. Go for the location and the atmosphere.

It was a long wait for the other three restaurants on the block and we stepped inside and were seated immediately by the fire place. The food wasn't overly sophisticated but it was in generous portions, wonderful and priced very well. I had chicken, not a chicken fan but it was the best I've had. The service is amazing, From... Highly recommend the steak and black bean chili, the crab cake and truffle fries which I tried on a recent visit. Chicken tenders are well prepared and a great option for younger children. The outside service provided by our server Paige was very friendly and attentive.

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
