The Gage is a great place to eat on Michigan Avenue whenever you're close to Millennium Park. We ate dinner there while visiting our daughter and thoroughly enjoyed it. She had been there before and recommended their food. The fish and chips were delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. We ate outside (separated from the sidewalk traffic) and had a... More

A friend and I went there for dinner. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cool. It was sort of an upscale pub.

Very sophisticated Gastro Pub, surprising subtlety on the menu. Atmosphere is fun and the staff makes it friendly. Good bar scene at happy hour and pretty deep wine list.

So today was “Friends Lunch Day” with one of my colleagues. She selected a restaurant at which neither one of us had previously dined. My colleague had the Scallops Waldorf – Three large pan seared scallops served atop a bead of varied lettuces, mostly arugula, apple butter, walnuts, celery, Fuji apple, and bacon raisin vinaigrette. She attests hat the dish... More

Nothing but good things to say about the Gage. The food was great and the staff was extremely nice. We had a very large reservation and some dinners at one of our tables before us refused to leave when they were done. We got our table about an hour late but I can't fault the restaurant for that as they... More

I've been in Chicago for a week on business; I'm from the UK.So many of the restaurants I have eaten in on this trip provide only basic, non-imaginative food. I read the TA reviews and thankfully The Gage did exactly what the reviews said on the tin! The staff were very accommodating to my "table for one" status as a... More

My wife and I dropped in to The Gage for lunch before heading across the street to the museum. The beer menu was good, and my mussels Vindaloo were perfect. As for my wife, a glass of wine and a fish dish did the trick Service was perfect. Our only complaint was the loud party of eight nearby. But hey,... More

This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city.
