The food was good, but service really was outstanding, especially since it was just lunch. This is my second time I've been here and the first time was just as good. Great place for a business lunch.

I been visiting The Gage for dinner every time I go to Chicago. The Gage is right across the street from Millenium Park and the Chicago Institute of Art. I don't expect great food and service in this "touristy" district, so I was absolutely delighted to discover this spot. Housed in a historic building, the Gage is gorgeous inside--cozy, romantic,... Finally made it to The Gage last week having heard it was "the" place to go for a nice dinner & drinks. While the heavily cleavaged Hostess & bow tied Maitre 'd were doing their very best to accommodate all incoming patrons- overall, this diner was NOT impressed- entirely too loud, overpriced and the food had serious room for improvement.... This restaurant is across the street from millennium park. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. We ordered the mushroom sandwich with fruit and their burger with fries and it was great!! Their fruit cup includes quite an array of different seasonal fruits (not the generic fruit cup that only includes grapes, blueberries & melons). The burger was so... More

Stopped in for quick lunch between meetings, had simple soup and half sandwich (smoked salmon), great flavor, well presented, good service, clean facility, wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Today, we dropped in for lunch and it was very crowded so our party of three had immediate seating at the bar. Our hosts were Matt and Briar and both gave us their attention and made small talk with us, which when you are an out of town person, we appreciate. I ordered the hanger steak done black and blue... I looked at their menu during a walk and was tempted by the Gage Venison Burger. I kept walking because I planned to eat elsewhere. In the end, I cancelled those plans and walked 6 blocks back. Sitting down, the Aged Prime Ribeye seemed even more tempting. Great steak, great dessert, and great service. However, I couldn't shake the idea... More

cool bar, great service, yummy drinks. The venison burger is a must have since it's cooked perfectly and has great flavor, even if you dont like game meats.

With our initial plans of breakfast at Wildberry thwarted by an estimated 1 hour wait, we walked along Michigan Avenue towards the Art Institute looking for another place to eat. We happened upon this place, and we are so glad we did. The restaurant is larger than it appears from the street, with cozy decor inside. I had the Chesapeake... More
