Tired of the traditional downtown theater district fare so ventured out to lake view for a very nice dinner, still close enough to get back downtown for an 8pm show! Started with a great salad wedge with (get this) bacon with jalapeño and the rest of the stuff! Great start! Scallops were great as was the rib eye with purée... More

We didn't have much time for dinner before the Blue Man show and decided to just find something close in the neighborhood. Socca was absolutely great - the baby pork shank appetizer was all you could wish for - different, great flavors and texture, and the two mini-pizzas we had were really well done. And they were VERY nice and... More

Went here before going to see the Blue Man Group. The food was excellent. My wife wasn't very hungry so she had a salad and a couple of sides. The Risoto she had was excellent as were they aspargus that she had. I had the grilled calamari is was excellent. Very tasty. Nice place for a drink also.

Chicago is full of great restaurants and Socca is one of the best. Intimate atmosphere and amazing food. Our waiter knew the menu and made excellent suggestions for appetizers, entrees, and dessert.

We had a large group (30) here for dinner on a saturday night and the service and the food were fantastic. The appetizers were very good...the pizzas...especially the funghi/goat cheese and the one that had shrimp--several of us had the filet wrapped in bacon and some had the smoked ribeye. I tasted both and the red wine/marrow reduction along with... More

I have been dining at Socca at least three times per month for the past several months, so I figured it was time to update my review. Chicago is a mecca for great restaurants and Socca is one of the hidden gems. IMHO it is the best restaurant in Lakeview and one of the top venues in all of Chicago... More

Located on a busy street in Lakeview, mixed retail and restaurants, this is a quiet oasis. Wine list by the glass has more than the standard listings. Menu has choices for all, including a vegan pizzette choice. Rabbit risotto is great choice for fall and winter, perfectly seasoned and nice proportion of rice to rabbit. Very friendly wait staff. Within... More

Had dinner at Socca while visiting family for the first time in Chicago. This restaurant was recommended and they were right. The waiter was very knowledgable of the wine list and the menu and helped us decide on wine and two different appetizers. The antipasta board was excellent. For dinner, all four of us ordered different items to try as... More
