Tempo was recommended to us by a bartender since it is open 24 hours. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but the food was fantastic. We had the chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado -- cooked perfectly, and the Monte Cristo. Service was good, very "late-night dinner" but the decor was more upscale that I was expecting. Perfect place for late... More

Don't get me wrong. I'm all about a good diner. (In fact, if you're looking for one, The Chicago Diner will BLOW YOUR MIND. Plus your body will thank you. Look it up!) Unfortunately, the service at Tempo Cafe service was so terrible that I will NOT be adding this to my list of good diners. The food was average... More

Group of us ate at Temp Cafe for breakfast. They offer freshly squeezed orange juice and grape fruit juice which was great. 3 of us in my party ordered the scrambler which is 3 eggs scrambles and your choice of sides which we did not realize that they are cut up in your eggs which makes your meal 3x larger... A year ago this was fabulous, a place to visit every morning. This time, our first visit led us to seek other places (which our reviewed) for what I consider the most important meal of the day. The portions are large but of average quality. the scrambler was piled high; pancakes were so-so and there was no option to get... More

I love the great food here. Service can be a bit spotty, especially when they are busy, but the wait is worth it.

We always enjoy an early morning visit to Tempo Café when we are in Chicago. There is plenty on the menu to satisfy younger guests and adults. Great omelets (also with egg whites), waffles, pan cakes- be warned that the portions are huge. Nice neighborhood restaurant in a great neighborhood.

I have been going to Tempo for over 20 years (even at its old location) and can absolutely vouch for the great service, great food -- especially the fresh squeezed OJ and the Eggs Benedict.

The good part first. I ordered a scramble skillet with onions & mushrooms, turkey sausage and cheddar cheese, which was perfect, tasty and a large portion. My family's experience was less happy. My son's strawberry pancakes were chemical tasting. He equated them to instant pancakes. The other meal was a Beggars Skillet which was acceptable but nothing special. The main... More

Wonderful breakfast at a good price. Loved the "Greek Toast" and the Hash-browns. OJ was fresh squeezed and very tasty.
