Reasonable & Tasty Meals

Been here for breakfast and dinner. Food: reasonably priced in pricey Chicago Gold Coast, tasty. For breakfast, loved the crispy hashbrowns and 3 eggs, priced right. For dinner had the pork chops with delicious greek race. Place is clean, service is very good. Definitely a place for your meals if... read more

Order the Morning Glory Waffle, with a side of sausage or an omelette, decent coffee too. This place is very close to where we live. They are open 24 hours, which is very good to know. (There are NOT many 24 hour places, on the Gold Coast...). They have (very popular) sidewalk seating, during the day, in the summertime.

Stopped in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Fast service and food delivered very timely. Wide range of selections for breakfast. Also a lunch and dinner menu that we did not have a chance to try. Will go back on our next trip to Chicago.

Recommend by a tour bus docent, I had breakfast here this morning. I had searched for an online menu and pricing without any good results. Had coffee, a waffle, and bacon. Yes, the coffee was good, the waffle was crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside, and the bacon was crispy and good tasting. So the food was decent.... More

At the recommendation of hotel staff, we had breakfast here during our first morning in Chicago. The food here is very good and the portions are indeed large, just as the other reviews explained; however, it was very pricey for breakfast. First off, they do not have a kids menu, this is important for our family of five...each of us... More

This plays is next to the Sofitel and has breakfast offering that are much better than the Sofitel at half the price!!! The basic eggs any style, bacon (sausage or ham) and hash browns are served in a skillet. Skillet scramblers also looked amazing.

Well done omelettes in a pan. They can easily feed 2-3 people in a single order. The Florentine is the most popular and it's obvious why. Not overly seasoned which allows the taste of ham, cheese and spinach to be showcased. Sits atop crunchy home fries. Homemade toast and shipped butter. Illy coffee.

Went for breakfast a bit after 9:00 and a few minutes after we were seated, a line started to form. My husband had a waffle with blueberries on top, I tasted it and it was super....might get that tomorrow. For all you artichoke, tomato and swiss cheese lovers; get the omelet which they sneek hashbrowns underneath and it's prepared and... More

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
