this visit, the food was excellent as always. These are the best waffles you will ever eat. This time, the service was excellent. We sat inside with a party of seven and had great service and great breakfast.

Don't have breakfast in any of the plastic, tourist-ridden places on Michigan Ave, walk a few blocks over to the little gem. Place was packed on a Friday morning and for a reason. I had the corned beef hash with poached eggs, a beautifully salty smack in the face. The skillets looked great too. Good service and good atmosphere at... More

The food was good. The location was good and the food came out incredibly fast. The restaurant is always good and the portions are not bad. The prices are fair.

If you want a big American style breakfast, join a bunch of locals at Tempo Cafe. The omletes, served in a pan, with potatoes are a speciality. The house made marmalade is an added bonus. The patio is lovely, but get there early as it fills up fast.

We got there RIGHT before a rush on a weekend morning. Our waitstaff was prompt and attentive. Really enjoyed the dining room...full of light! I had a tasty omelet, my husband enjoyed his skillet, and the french toast was a hit.

Liked the quick service, refill on coffee/water, nice waitress. Disliked the mangers attitude: we were served patty sausage that was hard as a rock -could not eat it and he refused to take it off our bill.

Preordered at takeout lunch which was ready in 15 minutes. Lots of food for the price! It was obvious that many customers were frequent diners as they greeted the wait staff warmly.

Open 24 hrs - this is a great little cafe for breakfast. Right down the street from the Tremont & Michigan Ave. We went here for breakfast and it was very good. Go early because it fills up fast. We got a little bowl with an orange and prune when we sat down - odd but very good - nice... More
