Kuma's is a place who's reputation precedes it - however once you've attempted to eat one of their delicious, giant burgers you know the hype was understated. The queues outside suggest it's a local favourite and what it delivers is nothing short of the best burger in Chicago.

Kuma's is one of my favorite Chicago restaurants. When I lived in the city, it was always a must go to with friends from out of town and even business associates. Now that I no longer live in Chicago, I lay in bed at night dreaming of their burgers and make sure to stop in at least once when in... More

Some of the best burgers I've had, and I've had plenty. Cons: avoid if you can't stand loud music or coming out smelling like grease.

We knew this wasn't going to be a Michelin Star restaurant, and were excited to try a burger after seeing this place reviewed on one of the food channels. We dined on a Saturday around 11:45 and got the only available table. The place was so smokey my eyes burned the entire time. Clearly there was a problem with the... More

A good friend of mine has been trying to get me to this place for a year, but it never worked out until last night. I like burgers but it is hard to really Wow me with one. Kuma's totally Wow'ed me. It is a small place but the atmosphere is that of a rock bar. The music is loud... More

The best (and heaviest) burger I have ever had during my 2 month in Illinois. The place may be not very suitable for a romantic dinner, but the heavy metal music and the food are just awesome. A must to do in Chicago. It is possible to choose the meat (they have buffalo too) and the bread. The only problem... More

Brought my friend here - he hadn't been! He was salivating over dishes being brought out to the loud heavy-metal tunes by the pierced and tattooed waitresses: humongous burgers with varied toppings and piles of hand-cut fries. Mine had venison, horseradish sauce and something else on top of the 10 ounce burger and under the wonderful pretzel bun. Great beer... More

Went there on a whim with a girlfriend of mine. It was a bit late for lunch and too early for dinner, so a table was no problem. The place is loud, I guess I should say that straight away. Music is jammin' . . . so if you want quiet, this ain't the place to go. Our waitress was... More

I like thus place. Bar atmosphere, good service. A nice burger, but not great. Their thing is all a about the toppings and presentation which is all great. But for me the most important part is the meat. Don't get me wrong there use good beef, just not great beef. I would go back, but not my favorite.
