Deep Dish Chicago

Classic place to grab a deep dish Chicago pizza. I seem to remember the food quality being unbelievable several years ago, but it still ranks as very good these days.

Nothing beats Gino's...Nothing! Forget the posers that claim to have better deep dish. Gino's is the spot to go. Service is sometimes slower than you want, but its mainly do the high volume of people coming through! The best part is the graffiti! Leave you mark on the tables and walls to let everyone know you were there!

I was really excited to try real Chicago deep dish and my first experience was at Gino's East. I wasn't impressed. The crust was under cooked, and it wasn't the most flavorful pizza I've ever had. I had to call a do-over and go somewhere else before I left because it left a poor impression after all the hype. It... More

Out of the places I've tried in Chicago Gino's East has the best deep dish pizzas. I can't say it's the best pizza I've ever had, but that only because I spent two weeks in Italy. It is one of the best I've ever had though. I would definitely recommend getting one with some spicy sausage on it. Just be... More

Food was fantastic & a lot of it! Atmosphere fun! Waitress was superb! Don't forget to bring a sharpie to document your visit on the wall, ceiling, booth, chair, thermostat, etc. What a neat restaurant. Will return on next visit to Chicago.

We arrived for dinner on a Sunday night rather late, between 930 and 10pm. Restaurant still quite busy but not overly so. We ordered two pizzas and some cheesy bread appetizer. After 45 minutes we still did not have our appetizer. Had to track the waitress down to ask her to please speed it up for the sake of our... More

Good quality food, but a long que outdoor and empty tables inside because lack on people in the kitchen on Sundaynight. Noisy, kids flying around the tables but the food and service was great.

Two friends and I came for dinner after a long day of touring Chicago. We went in at about 5:30PM to make sure we avoided the rush hour, and were immediately seated at a table with playground-style seats that were graffitied on. The walls were also graffitied, giving the restaurant a very chill and hip kinda vibe. We were handed... More

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go.
