Great pizza and atmosphere

We love the pizza here. This is a family friendly place which is nice for our girls when we bring them with us to Chicago

Had just been to Giordano's the night before (you can read that review to find out more). I would normally not have pizza two nights in a row, but I was invited out for a business party. The pizza was really awful. They had a think crust which tasted like cardboard and the dough on the deep dish was disappointing.... More

Gino's East pizza is more of a Italian deconstruction than pizza.... Sauce is on the top, followed by toppings, cheese, then crust. The Italian sausage is a patty style which covers the entire pizza. The crust is a very heavy yeast dough that's yellow in color. I really enjoy their pizza, but be prepared for a half hour wait to... More

The place has been on Food Network several times, so of course it is a tourist trap. We visited and got the classic deep dish pizza. Granted it was delicious, the service wasn't too great (which was understandable because it was so busy. They should try to staff more people though,) but the pizza was amazing! The crust is to... Man v Food led me here We waited a long time for the pizza but it was totally worth it. Waiter we had was not good. He left my wife's drink sit empty while walking by 4-5 times. I finally had to flag him down to get her a refill. They were not even very busy. I wanted some marinara... More

A restaurant as deep in history as it's pizza! This was our first deep dish experience and the taste stayed with me all day long! It was very good with great service and a good atmosphere.

Had a surprise upon arrival as we were immediately seated. The place was teeming with people, and we were glad to not have the wait we were warned we would have. The pizza was good, not great. The crust is too cakey for my liking, and the construction of the pizza was odd to me. The cheese was on the... More

We tried three deep dish pizzas and this was third in the list. I wouldn't make a special trip for their pizza. Mozzarella sticks were ok but too Much breading. atmosphere was unique and fun

If you like pizza and you're in Chicago, you owe it to yourself to make it Gino's East. There's usually a line out the door, but once the pizza arrives, it's easy to see why. Be prepared to wait to get in... and then to wait for your pizza. Deep dish takes about an hour to prepare after you've ordered.... More

Visited with friends on a Thursday night. We were seated immediately and our server was friendly. We went for a medium Deep dish and a medium thin crust pizza and we're duly warned that the deep dish could take upto 45 mins. The server checked in on us before our food arrived reassuring us that it will arrive on time.... More
