We swore we'd never try deep dish pizza and if we did, that we wouldn't like it. Well, Gino's East made liars out of us. It's touristy, really busy at meal times (try going at 5:00 PM instead of 6:00) but if you avoid the rush, the pizza is outstanding. I am not proud of how many pounds of pizza... More

Very expensive. Not too healthy a meal, but we knew that going in. Good service. Cold beer. Lots of ambiance. Easy walk.

We went to Gino's because it is well-known and was close to our hotel. Next time we will go elsewhere. The pizza had an okay flavor but the crust is...uninspired to say the least. Our appetizers were better than the pizza - we had Toasted Ravioli and Buffalo Wings. Service was pretty slow considering it wasn't busy. Oh well, lesson... More

So the server slashed cheeses and sauce on somebody's arm as they were serving the pizza you know how they slam the spatula on the pan sauce and cheese came flying off no apology was givenThe music was playing very loudly and it was techno dance music we were in the restaurant at 5 o'clock on a Friday evening not... Not too bad of a wait for a Friday night in down town Chicago. Your wait begins outside and they work you in, This is better than the shoulder to shoulder herding that happens at Giordanos. When they (and all pizza places in Chicago) say an hour for deep dish, they are not kidding. Over all, the food quality was... More

Good pizza. Convenient location right off of Michigan Avenue. Great place to watch the game. Prepare to wait 45 minutes to an hour for deep dish

I've been here several times in the past 10 years. The food is good but the service needs improvement. 45 min to cook a small pizza? Waiter was okay. Asked if we needed more water, we said yes, never got the water until we had to remind him. If my glass is empty then fill it. Don't have to ask... More

We went to Gino's because it was close to our hotel, the Hampton Inn. But it would have been worth a trek if needed because it was that good. Our waiter "King James" was fantastic. The pizza was possibly the best I've had, and the nachos appetizer was extra special too.

Ordered the small, plenty for two women. Eat it while its hot! The cheese is yummy, and the crust is light, almost like cake. I heard later that it was made with cornmeal.
