I have heard such good things about this place and finally made here after a previous unsuccessful attempt. I ordered the vanilla brioche French toast. It came with a orange raspberry syrup. I think it was a little too much syrup and the brioche was a little dry. The service was great here though, so credit for that.

We came here on a friend's recommendation. I ordered the blueberry pancakes; they were not good. They were covered in a goopy frosting, which took away from the natural good taste of real blueberries. My friend ordered the eggs and said they were fine. Other people seemed to be enjoying their food, so perhaps we ordered wrong? We didn't have... More

Our waiter advised us to get the HALF order. The mistake that is easy to make as a Canadian is to order by price and expect a certain portion. He looked like a trustworthy gentleman so I heeded to his advice. I ordered pumpkin pancake with creme anglaise. The pancake was super moist and the creme anglaise complimented it perfectly.... More

We also had the pancakes. My son and I shared a platter of 3 which are a bit larger than sauce for $10. They were lemon blackberry w/graham cracker crumbs. Very tasty but not sickeningly sweet. Could've used a bit more sauce. The (rosemary?) spiced potatoes are delicious. They do NOT charge for water or for a plate to share.... More

I think they serve other things, but all I have ever had at The Bongo Room is Pancakes, Pancakes, Pancakes. The flavors are original: Lemon-Poppyseed with Gingersnap Butter; Red Velvet with Cream Cheese, etc. etc. The menu options do change, so each time I go there is something new to try. The food is prepared to perfection and the serving... More

We had an excellent breakfast in this south loop location. I had the breakfast burrito (which I thought to photograph only after it was half eaten). It was just egg and guacamole but that packed plenty of taste punch. My spouse had pancakes. All of their stuff was cleverly put together with nicely blended flavors. Lattes were pretty nice, too.

We are breakfast people and went on a Sunday. We ordered from the Specials menu and the brunch menu. The omelet was excellent (chorizo and avocado), the eggs benedict were good, and the pretzel pancake was amazing. There was a wait for a party of 2, so get there early if you are on a time crunch. Friendly wait staff... More

1 of the breakfast hot spots in Chicago. The entrees here do change often and are never disappointing. I ordered the pumpkin pancakes with a whipped maple cream which was absolutely wonderful. Everything paired together so well and I was very impressed. My girlfriend ordered one of the omelets and she loved it. If your up for something a little... More

I had 4 dishes at this time. Roast beef omelet and chocolate toast are good(but not die for). But egg benedic is so normal while red valet pancake, the famouse one, for me is quite dry. Very disappointed.

I went on a Sunday in February at 10am. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table and once we got our food order in it took about another 20-25 minutes for it to come out. Very tasty and impressive looking.
