Prices were low. Tables were tightly squeezed together and the high exposed ceilings made it difficult to have conversation in all the noise. The food attempted to be unique but missed on quality. I suggest Yolk or Wildberry Pancakes before this place for breakfast.

They told us the wait would be 20 mins, but it was most definitely shorter than that. Our waiter was very friendly and quick! I ordered the white chocolate caramel pretzel hotcakes, which are good much a little too much sugar first thing. The portions are monsterous. I tried my husband'a potatoes and had to immediately order some for myself.... More

This is my nephew's second year at Columbia College Chicago. We usually go out to lunch but decided to try the Bongo Room Wabash for brunch. We waited about 40 minutes but it was worth it. My husband and nephew had the Meyer Lemon Pancakes and I had the chicken fajita omelet with potatoes. Both were very large portions, enough... More

Long wait, but it's well worth it. Plus they have a good collection of pancakes. Is too big for one person to finish it, so sharing seems like a good option.

Heard that this place served up the best pancakes in Chicago but unless you like them thick, stodgy, undercooked then DO NOT go here!

We got there 10 mins before it opened, and there was a line-up already on Saturday. The manager Aaron greeted all the hungry customers with warm welcome smile, and we were well-attended by the staff right away. We ordered Chorizo Potato Avocado Omelette, Vanilla Brioche French Toast, White Chocolate & Caramel Pretzel Pancake and Red Velvet Pancake for 4 of... More

The staff was very friendly and patient, even though the restaurant was full. The food was great, the menu was very different than the normal bacon and eggs, it was awesome! It is definitely recommended!

Bongo Room is almost always my first choice of breakfast/brunch, and I have been to both venues in Wicker Park and Andersonville. I especially like the one in Andersonville -- both its indoor and outdoor seatings are so pleasant and comfortable. Seating is spacious and you don't really feel noisy even it's packed with a weekend crowd. The menu at... More

This breakfast was one of our favorite meals on this trip. The pancakes were mouth-watering and the croissant had to be hand-made! We could have eaten there again and again.
