Local sub shop!

Very tasty toasty subs! Stop for lunch at the pot belly ... It was recommended by a local as a favorite local chain. My husband had the Italian and I had the roast beef. Both were delicious. The staff was friendly and fast! I would definitely recommend it for a fun lunch stop!

While staying near Taylor street, we took the time to walk the area. Locating this gem, we decided to give it a try. WOW! Clean, friendly, fast, good, fresh, did I say friendly, ok... friendly staff. Established in 1977, these folks sure do live up to the three promises posted, #1.FRESH, GREAT ingredients, prepared in the shop , made the... More

Quick eats. I like sandwiches that are hot/toasted and they toast them. The meats were really good and fresh. I made my a combo.

Went here for lunch while in town for business. Very busy place at lunch time so know what you want before you get to the counter to order so you don't slow it down. I had the smoked ham sandwich and it was great, hit the spot for lunch. Staff behind the counter were friendly and nice. I wish we... More

First time my husband has eaten there. Sandwiches good. Staff a little discombobulated but you mab a few through that for a good sandwich. Gets a lot of foot traffic so they need t o tidy up more.

I am a big fan if the veggie sandwich, I think I could eat it daily. My hubby got the wreck with bacon (it is probably what you would expect, yes). I typically get their soup but they did not have any that I would eat during this trip. Overall, great/friendly service and potbelly full love.

Needed a light lunch before the Cubs game. Wanted to experience the whole "Chicago deli" thing. Got a grilled chicken and cheddar sandwich and some chips. It was fresh and ready to go in no time. I would try it again.

Sandwiches made to order on toasted bread. They aren't kidding about the hot peppers being hot, so ask for them on the side or taste them first as they are fairly powerful. Had a Turkey & Swiss with the works. Conveniently located by the State/Lake el stop.

Loved this place for the interiors, food was really good too. I have had the "A Wreck" sandwich, very tasty and well "packed" with lots of things. A bit pricey (but it's in the heart of the city so prices are a bit higher), it was a good stop for a quick bite!
