BEST BBQ EVER

The true American BBQ. Located not so far from a train stop, quite far from the city centre. All the food has been incredibly amazing! Definetely worth it, don't miss it!

This was my first visit to Smoque BBQ on the recommendation of a travel partner. Being a Memphis native, I know a bit about BBQ. I agreed to give it a try. I had the chopped brisket. The meat was very tasty alone. The meal came with a sauce labeled "Memphis Style BBQ." I was a bit let down by... More

Went here today to try the brisket. Awesome! One of the best I have tried! My kids loved the pulled pork which I agree was fantastic! I also tried the ribs which were great! They pull off the triple crown here since most places have good brisket but not great ribs or vice versa! Sides are excellent, we had the... More

Tuesday night dinner. You order at the counter, then find a table, wait for your number to be called and pick up your food. But this ain't a fast food joint. The baby back ribs are crisp on the outside and tender and juicy inside. Great smoked flavor in ribs and pulled pork. Memphis bbq sauce is pretty good. Platters... More

Our second time to Smoque was just as good as the first. Parking was available on the side street next to the restaurant. We always try to go at off peak times because it is not a large dining area and can become very crowded. It usually costs us < 2 people> about $30.00 to eat here. The BBQ itself... More

We visited Smoque, because I saw it on one of the food channel shows. It was ok, but not what they made it seem like on the show. I think it was on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, and Guy made it seem like it was the best bbq ever. It was a good dinner, but nothing special. We tried a... More

My husband loves the show Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. While planning our Chicago trip we watched and episode on Smoque and he declared we were eating there. The brisket was moist and flavorful. We appreciated that you could also purchase a "taste" of another meat with your meal. The beans are good and so is the slaw but I... More

Neighborhood place on the NW side by a local guy that is delicious. It's small and wish it was bigger but then I like how small it is as well. I love the meats, sides and love the BBQ sauce. YUM go check it out or cater in.

I put Smoque on my itinerary after reading TripAdvisor reviews. True to comments, I encountered a 30 minute wait outside around 2 pm on a sunny Sunday. Staff works hard to seat people quickly. I had the chopped brisket with baked beans, french fries, and coleslaw. The meat was incredibly tender, well spiced and smoky. Not much fat at all,... More
