The best BBQ I've ever had

I. like many others, watched the very favorable review of this place on TV. So I thought I had to go there to see what the fuss was about. It was a Sunday and I arrived at 10.30. Already a few 'keeners' were sitting inside waiting for service to start at 1AM. I joined them. By the time service... read more

My family visits Smoque's every chance we get because we all enjoy the food. The only downside is the size of the place. Our last visit was this past Saturday, we got there around 7:00 p.m. and as usual it was extremely busy and crowded. We waited in line outside the building in the cold for what felt like an... More

Came across this off dumb luck while searching nearby resteraunts. Swerved off the highway and found it easily. I was very happy I did. Fantastic filling bbq and crazy good pricing given the amount and quality of food. I eat out 5-10 times a week due to travel and this is one of if not the best bbq joints I've... More

This is our fave BBQ place in Chicago. We used to do a long ride by public transportation from Hyde Park (south side). Even during winter. Just to have BBQ here. We ordered ribs, brisket and pulled pork sandwich and several side dishes, Mac and cheese, French fries and corn bread. The brisket was delicious. Moist and fatty, almost melts... More

My wife and I heard so much about Smoque and we had to try. We were not dissapointed. I had the baby back ribs and they were so incredibly tender and tasty My wife had the chicken, which had a sharp smoke. Sides were also great: BBQ beans were good, cole slaw was smooth and vinegary, mac n cheese. I... More

WOAH. This is so good!!! I couldn't believe how delicious the brisket, ribs, coleslaw, baked beans, and mac & cheese were. Seriously flavourful and well smoked. The servers were awesome and brought us condiments and jalepenos to try with the brisket and it was a great suggestion. Can't wait to go back!!!

This is one of the best BBQ joints in Chicago. The brisket is tender with a great smoke ring. The ribs are great the sausage is good too. The baked beans, corn bread and vinegar based coleslaw are good as well.

No more searching for Fabulous BBQ. You are FINALLY HOME. Oh...my...God! This place is by far the best BBQ in the Chicago area. I traditionally get brisket orders dinner & my family salivates over it. It is extremely tender and not too spicy. When I picked it up today I noticed they had Pecan Bread pudding with caramel sauce. Nobody... More

Has to be best BBQ I've ever tasted. Long drive, difficult parking, and long lines. But totally worth it all. The brisket, Texas sausage, and half rack St Louis ribs were awesome. Tender, great flavor, and sauces that complimented the smoky flavor. Portiobs are filling as well. Will make a return trip. Highly recommend it.

When we were in Chicago we hear of this place via Diners Driveins and Dives TV show so we went via a cab ride from the Navy Pier and when we got there . there was a line around the corner and one of the people in front of us in line was a head chef for 4 of the... More
