I found this place on Tripadvisor and because of the great reviews decided to give it a shot and boy am I glad I did! After having eaten at many a good BBQ joint across the US (I'm doing a roadtrip across the States right now) this is by far and away the best BBQ I've sampled. The brisket was... More

We have been doing a road trip around the states, stopping in Austin, Memphis, NY and Chicago to name a few known for their BBQ, and admittedly we didn't try the most popular one in Austin as it was impossible to get in and then we had another mis-hit in Kansas City. But this was incredible. The ribs were perfect... More

I am convinced that Smoque makes the best BBQ in the Midwest. This is hands down my favorite place to eat in Chicago and I eat there pretty much every trip to chi-town. The ribs are phenomenal, the fries are totally delish but the brisket... man, the brisket is heaven on earth. It just melts in your mouth, so tender,... More

We lived in Texas for nine years so we know. Beef brisket and pulled pork both outstanding. BYOB makes it a real bargain. Manager is very helpful. Walk from blue line train to restaurant is not so pleasant.

We had to go here on our trip across the country because my hubby saw it on the food network. It was counter service and the line was long! We were lucky to even find a table. The environment was not my thing, but the food was definitely tasty. Not quite as tasty as my hubby's ribs but still very... More

Went here during my trip to see Michigan-Notre Dame football, NOTRE DAME WON!!! :) :) The BBQ in this place was FABULOUS!!! I had the brisket platter with mac&cheese and cole slaw as my sides. It comes with delicious hot corn bread. I am pretty sure they use cream style corn in the mixture. The brisket with there sauce, very... More

Chicken, 2 kinds of ribs and yummy sides. They have achieved a perfect balance of smoke, heat, sweet and savory. The chicken is moist with a crispy skin. The ribs a fork tender. We had a debate on baby back vs. St. Louis style. It was a tie. The sauce! How can I describe it? Tangy, tasty, zippy, and perfect.... More

I had the brisket with a taste of both types of pulled pork. The brisket was amazing and the shredded pulled pork was the best with amazing taste and texture. Worth the price and the drive.

Since we don't live in Chicago, we can only get to this place about once a year. We love it! It has a quaint neighborhood feel about it and absolutely the best bbq we've ever had. We get the brisket platter with the baked beans, slaw and fries.... it's the best! Serving sizes are very generous and the prices reasonable.... More

Step into this little place of culinary heaven for an experience you won't forget. I have to believe this is the best BBQ in not only Chicago but anywhere. The brisket is to die for as I believe this just may become your favorite menu selection.
