Fantatstic! Went for Lunch. No wait at 11:30am

Food was awesome. My son had the Baby Back 1/2 slab and I ordered the Rib Combo (1/2 baby back, 1/2 St. Louis). We shared the 1/2 St. Louis. Sharing the St. Louis was way to go unless you are both SUPER hungry and want to eat a full rack of ribs. Sides of beans, cole slaw and fries. The... read more

Very relaxed atmosphere, reminds me of a cafeteria with delicious food. BYOB! Great place to meet friends. My favorite is the brisket, it is a do not miss food. Ribs were okay but not the best in Chicago. Street parking is the name of the game here, but worth putting up with.

Put this place on our dinner list after seeing the reviews on TV site. We were happy to see the place very busy when we arrived taking that as an indicator it was indeed a great spot. We ate about 5:00 on a Saturday evening and the line was just spilling out the door. The food did not disappoint. We... More

The ribs were tasty, as you would expect, but the chicken was spectacular. It had a smoky flavor that the ribs did not have. Took home a side of brisket for my wife, which everyone loved. The fries, cole slaw and baked beans were great. The Mac and cheese and brisket chili were good, but did not rise to the... More

This is my favorite BBQ in Chicago. I will admit that I have not eaten at all the BBQ joints in Chi-town. Sometimes I feel like I already love this place so much why bother risking eating something not as good? The salads are a great started for a more balanced meal. The mac n cheese is a great side... There is no better BBQ in Chicago. I have had ribs in St. Louis, Memphis, Cincinnati, Mississippi, and their ribs our the best. The side baked beans are to die for. I had the St. Louis Ribs and they WERE worth getting not like some other reviews. I have had their food at work for over 3 years and it... More

Okay, black people are very particular about their BBQ, so I was very shceptical to say the least about this Chicago Northside restaurant. Lord, was I ever proven wrong! Smoque is all that it sets out to be and more! Delucious, juicy, tasty, succulent and amazing meats across the board and sauces to knock your socks off. The atmosphere is... More

Definitely not worth waiting in a long long line for! We waited an hour on a Saturday night at 5:30pm. There is nowhere to sit down and wait. The brisket was good, but portion ridiculously small. St. Louis rib side is not worth getting -- not good. Other ribs good, but we have had better and have even made better... More

If you want genuine, slow smoked barbecue, you can find it in Chicago at Smoque. Ribs were excellent, the brisket was tender and great. Even the sides were good; we had the french fries, barbecue baked beans and mac and cheese and liked all of them. It's a very small place so you might want to consider carrying out. But... More
