came to breakfast at 9:30- Great choices of anything you'd ever want to eat for breakfast. Had my 6 year old picky daughter. They have no childrens menu but will get you a side order of whatever you need. I had the Almond crepes which were a special. She had pancakes.. REal maple syrup and honey butter for the pancakes.... We tried this much recommended place during our last visit to Chicago. I got the Jalapeno Breakfast Bowl and it was the best brunch I had in awhile. This was my first time trying chicken chorizo and I became fan. I will be rising early to beat the weekend line for Meli next time I am in Chicago!

A friend and I met at Meli Cafe for breakfast in August. I was really looking forward to this trip because of the great reviews and the promises of fresh food. And the decor and location are perfect for people who want a Chicago feel without having to go into the city and fight the crowds. But I have to... More

Great food, made special by fresh juice selections. Hostess was inattentive, but waitstaff was great.

If you have a party of more than 4 people prepare to wait. We went with a group of 5 and groups with less than 4 that came after us were able to get a table before us. They do make their own jam and ketchup and the food is delicious

I have to admit...I think most breakfast spots are generally pretty similar, even with the better restaurants. Meli takes it to a new level. While providing the traditional breakfast items and skillets, they provide a twist on combining breakfast meals with "mounds" and by including varied and uncommon items in their omelets and scrambles (think fresh corned beef and various... We met some friends for breakfast here on a Saturday morning. Make sure you order some juice - I had the Kiwi Strawberry Orange, but the selection is mind-boggling. The service was friendly and the food came out fast. They have an extensive menu and some items are gluten free. If you're dining it the area this is a place... More

Nice surroundings. Great service. I ordered a green salad with strawberries. I must say it was the tastiest salad I have ever tried. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Greektown.
