Came for an early breakfast here, and found the place already busy which was surely a good sign. Went for the Mana Mou (steak, eggs, onions, potatoes, peppers and provolone cheese) and the eggs benedict between us, with a peanut butter smoothie and tea for drinks. One issue we find across the US is it's really difficult to find English... More

Fantastic brunch place in Greek town. Great service, great food but be ready for long wait to get seated. The place is just super packed, especially on the weekends.

On Easter, March 31st, I was meeting my sister in Chicago who driving into the city from Michigan. After my flight from Denver that Sunday morning and getting settled at the Crowne Plaza which is about 3 blocks from Meli I was starving. After talking to my sister who was still driving I decided to eat something on my own.... More

My family loved the breakfast here so much when we came here on our last visit to Chicago that we ate here three times. There's a broad selection of dishes on the menu, both traditional breakfast favorites as well as creative, healthy choices for brunch or lunch. We loved the juice bar. Portions are ample, to say the least, but... More

As far as casual breakfast places this is about as good as it gets. Very good food, service is usually fine, and cost is where it should be, maybe slightly high. Only down side is seating can be tight and there is often times a wait at peak hours. Usually worth the wait.

Meli is a breakfast place in Greektown where they make homemade greek yogurt with honey and walnuts - and it is amazing! Great atmosphere, fun and friendly staff!

Wow. This place was great. We walked here after another recommended place, Yolk, had a huge wait.  They said 15 minute wait (Saturday 10 am) but it was maybe 5.  Immediate water and coffee service.  Regular coffee was amazing, decaf was very watery.  Omelets are fantastic (we got 2 bacon stuffed ones and the chicken/avocado). I got the corned beef... More

Great hang out during those UIC days. Had some wonderful breakfasts after those killer all nighters.

My family and I visited Meli Cafe on a recent visit to Chicago. The food was excellent -the kids (3 & 5) shared a side of pancakes and eggs. I had the mixed berry French toast, and y wife had a farmland skillet. All were very good. The location (on Wells) was a short walk from our hotel, and the... More

Breakfast and Lunch only. Very large portions. Very much worth the wait. No parking and no valet available.
