Think organic, vegan, healthy menu choices to our old favourites: quinoa in the pancakes, base to the eggs benedict, fresh greek yoghurt with homemade granola, smoothies with wheat grass...need I say more? Get there not too hungry as wait is 1/2hr-45 min. Locals love it too. Great for families.

We visited the location at 540 N Wells for breakfast. My wife went in to procure our table while I checked in our rental bikes down the street. My wife describes the hostess as being very curt with her and had I had that experience we would have gone elsewhere. The wait for a table was around 30 minutes. Once... More

Was recommended by concierge and despite my initial concern, I was not disappointed. On a Saturday morning, it was a n little busy but an expected wait of 40 minutes was only 20 minutes. The portions are huge, with a large variety of omelets, bowls and healthy dishes as well. If you order french toast, get the half order -... More

We stopped into the Meli Cafe for lunch on our walk in the west loop. It was a wonderful experience. We chose the Meli salad and Date Nut parfait. The salad came with delicious pieces of chicken and was very satisfying. The parfait was truly superb. The Greek yogurt was so very good, and along with the fruit and granola,... More

Nutella crepes! Plenty of kid friendly items on the menu for picky eaters. Not exactly a bargain but a great way to start the day

My husband and I ate her a couple of years ago and it was fantastic. This time not so much. The food was good, not great. The juice bar apple juice had gone down hill and he apple crepes were soggy.

We met our Auzzie friends for brunch and we had expected to wait becaus they do not take reservations. The cafe was packed. We waited inside out of the sun and got a great view of the food coming to the tables. Huge portions of french toast, omlettes, skillets, pancakes.....our mouths were watering. We were finally seated and the service... More

Our hostel across the street had the usual fare for breakfast so we ventured across to the Meli Cafe and so gald that we did. I had eggs Benedict with spinach and pork belly added and my husband had bread pudding pancakes - both were very good. He also had the corned beef hash which he reported to be a... More
