Good sushi

This is nicely located near downtown, but is slightly off the beaten path (a few streets over from Michigan Ave). It was nice to step off the hustle and bustle of Michigan Ave to have dinner. The sushi was delicious and fresh. I recommend if that is what you are looking for.

I'd really give this place 3.5 rating. Stopped by for lunch @ 12:30 on our last day in Chicago. The restaurant was not that crowded and there were plenty of empty tables. To be candid, I had read the Tripadviser reviews after my girlfriend suggested this place and was not to enthused about trying the place. But the restaurant was... More

On August 8, my husband were in the area and went to the restaurant around 5pm. We were seated between tables of 6 and 8. After about 20 minutes and trying to get the attention of the servers, I went to the server handling the big table and she did not know who was our server and referred us to... More

Disappointed with the asian spring roll...lacked flavour and freshness. Sushi was pretty good.. service also ok.

We can here for dinner having read really great reviews. In defense of Tamarind, there was a rush of people as we arrived, but the host staff did not pace the seatings. As a result, we waited 25 minutes for someone to take our drink order. It only occurred then because I complained after watching a six top and a... More

Variety of Asian food, we chose do it yourself stir fry, filled with veggies and chicken for ours. Actually waitress offered to fill plates to be cooked after we saw idea and veggies. Lettuce wraps to start, excellent, beautiful sauce with ground chicken, crisp lettuce. Chicken skewers with peanut sauce bit tough. Ketel One martini in downtown Chicago for $7.50.... More

Value for money... they have more than Thai which is an advantage & they deliver to most down town hotels.

Over 2 visits my friend and I got the dumplings, the lettuce wraps (tofu), the hot and sour soup (with noodles), the pad thai and a stir fry. We would highly recommend the dumplings and the lettuce wraps. They stir fry is really fun and you can make it to suit you.

This restaurant is just a block off Michigan Ave and very close to the Hilton Chicago. It was a cold windy night and we had "museum feet" so we were glad to have an option close by. We ordered the stir fry that you design yourself. A buffet of fresh vegetables like celery, carrots, mushrooms, onions, bok choy, peppers, bean... More

I read the other reviews on TA for this place and it sounded like people had had mixed experiences, but I thought I would give it a shot as I was staying just around the corner. Long story short, it is a mixed experience. The restaurant is nicely decorated, the ambience is good, the staff are pleasant and efficient. BUT.... More

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city.
