Very nice experience with good food, expected prices and convenient location.

With outdoor and indoor seating can accommodate a good sized crowd. Wait staff was friendly and thorough and when a large group of us came in all at once the service was better than one might expect under the circumstances. Did not hear any bad comments from any in our group. Nice selection of... read more

Weather was perfect so we opted for an outdoor table. Service was good and the menu choices on the chalkboard were plentiful. We had barramundi, marlin and scallops and ate every bite. Try the smoked trout dip. Yum!

Glenn's diner is the one place we HAVE to go to while visiting Chicago. They have weekly specials including, all you can eat King crab legs and lake perch. Their seafood menu is endless. The crab burger is amazing! Excellent service and great food makes Glenn's diner the place to be!

My son and his wife took us for Father's Day dinner. The food and service was terrific. We had mussels and Oysters Rockefeller and the had Halibut, Sturgeon, Bass and a seafood fettuccini. It's a byob so you can save a lot of money. It was a very nice evening.

Went with family for lunch and my daughter, who's a chef and has introduced me to many fabulous places whenim in town from PDX, said this was one of her favorites. Very casual and besides the fresh fish which is listed on the wall there's a complete menu. We both had the seafood salad- best in my life and kiddies... More

Don't be fooled by the online menu. That is only one of their menus. The gem is the second blackboard menu available at dinner that you can order from that has a large variety of fish/seafood dishes. The night we went their were 19 fish/seafood dishes to pick from alone. This "diner" title is deceiving in it's description of the... More

Went to Glenn's Diner last night and had the lobster fettuccini. Had a few small shells in the first few bites but continued eating until I crunched down on a shell the size of a fettuccini noodle fearing I had broken a couple of my capped teeth! Owner came by and was rude and unapologetic saying that the shells are... More

We had researched this place looking for fresh seafood in Chicago...the blackboard specials looked amazing and we saw they received fresh fish daily! Our daughter's graduation from UIC was the evening before so we made reservations for three for Mother's Day since we were going to be In Chicago overnight. Our research also led us to the DDD you-tube and... More

We visit our son frequently in Chicago, and he took us there several years ago, knowing I would want to try it because of Guy and Triple D. I liked it so much that we visit Glenn's Diner every time we are in Chicago. Don't be fooled by the name, it is more than just a diner. (I love diners!)... More

A very busy "SeaFood" & "Breakfast" place next to the train station, along the bus route, surrounded by many small businesses and apartments. Study the menu before you go to see if its to your taste. A cool place for cool people, like you & me, but style ain't cheap, so plan to spend a little. Service seems very good,... More
