Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives--Seafood...or Breakfast!

This unique restaurant was a fun place to go for brunch. My husband and I were visiting Chicago, and decided to try a place featured on the Food Channel Show, "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives." We found this very not fancy, but unique restaurant in the Ravenswood area. It is very near the "L," in... read more

I have thought about this burger three times since I ate it on 02/11/15; My husband had the BLT, which was bigger than his face; I had a bite, and it did not disappoint. Most surprisingly was that we were coming in before the dinner rush. The staff was amazing; very professional and our server was very congenial and let... More

Spent a night with friends at the diner after watching Guys Drive and Dine show which talked about fish. Love the Marlin and tasted my friends plate, food was spot on and was not disappointed at all! This is my new seafood place to eat on Chicago.

Finally came to check out Glenn's after hearing many friends raving about it. Most people seem to suggest it for weekend brunch - but its great for any meal, we had early dinner and it was wonderful! We had the shrimp-cargot as an appetizer (perfect to share), the swordfish & their amazing lobster fettuccine Alfredo. All of these were very... More

We were told Glenn's had the best Bloody Marys in town, and it's true. It's like a shrimp cocktail and bloody mary put together. And at $8, what great value. It was so filling, we had difficulty finishing our entrees. Be prepared to wait for a table, but definitely be patient. The Bloody Mary was worth it!

Don't know what world some of the reviewers came from who complained about service at this restaurant. Six of us arrived from Baltimore to visit Glenn's. We had reservations and were quickly seated. We ask if it would be possible to order to share between us (like tapas) because we wanted to taste as many dishes as possible. She said... More

Don't know if the food is any good. Stopped by at 5:30 Sat. A couple of tables with patrons. The majority empty with reserved signs for later. Popular places could be more profitable if they limited reservations. We did not eat there. The owners lost revenue by keeping tables empty for 30-60 minutes. The hostess had zero personality. Clearly indifferent... More

We were in Chicago for our Anniversary in Late October. We're Triple D (Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives) fans and this was a "can't miss". We're very glad we went. The Blackened Australian Bahrunddi was fantastic. My wife had the Seafood Pot Pie. Excellent choices, both. The value for the $$ was excellent. Also available on the Open Table app. If... More

Wow! I had the tastiest breakfast in many weeks, yesterday. I was at Glenn's on a typical Sunday morning as I have been many times before. I have never ordered "Mom's Appleishush" Pancake, before. I intend to order it again! It is the perfect combination for a Fall day: Apples, cinnamon and sugar. It is not too sweet. No syrup... More
