Description: David Burke's Primehouse in The James Hotel features a modern steakhouse...
David Burke's Primehouse in The James Hotel features a modern steakhouse menu with hand-picked meats that are dry-aged for 28 to 75 days in a Himalayan salt-tiled aging room on premise. An intimate new destination for special gatherings, Burke's Dining Room is a noteworthy addition to David Burke's Primehouse. Conceived as a modern interpretation of the classic "chef's table" meant for private dining, it serves to complement Chef Burke's progressive, whimsical fare.#1 Steakhouse in Chicago - Chicago magazineBest Burger in the U.S. - Food & WineBest Steakhouses in the U.S. - USA TodayBest Steak Ever - Rahm Fama of Food Network Chicago Tribune"The complex, earthy flavors that dry aging brings out had me swooning. This is the kind of meat I want my server to set in front of me when I go out and pay top dollar for a restaurant steak. The extra layer of richness the brushed-on 'beef love' added really put this one over the top."

Awesome steak house

We were staying at the Omni and the concierge there recommended DB's Primehouse. What great advice! We had a wonderful dinner - loved our cesar salad and house salad for starters and my husband was a happy camper with his super dry-aged steak! I also recommend their cocktails - the Tickled Pink... read more

The aged ribeye had a very good flavor but was disappointed as it was a little tough compared to others I have had. The waitress was very pleasant and knowledgeable but the food just wasn't up to par for the prices charged.

Super attentive and knowledgable staff. Chris was our waiter and really took excellent care of us! The filet was amazing, wine list was great. They will even open and serve you glasses of the expensive wines, so you can try various wines by the glass! Table side made caesar salad was very good. I had the super aged 78 day... More

I had a burger there and it was much too salty. I also wasn't a fan of the donut holes. The eggs benedict was very good and my husband loved his omelet.

The restaurant is quite good I think in this case, ambiente was fine, it is a good restaurant, a bit pricey but with love to details The wine list is excellent (all across the globe) and the quality of the dishes is higher than the average for me was a good choice (but not superb)

We stopped here for drinks. Great bar, very attentive service, excellent ambiance. Prices were reasonable for a nice steakhouse. Next time, we'll leave room for food!

I did not hesitate to find the restaurant for my first dinner at Chicago. And I was lucky that I was able to enjoy my first dry-aged steak at this restaurant. They offered me very kindly. I strongly recommend this place to you if you have any plan to enjoy dry-aged steak.
