Description: David Burke's Primehouse in The James Hotel features a modern steakhouse menu with hand-picked meats that are dry-aged for 28 to 75 days in a Himalayan salt-tiled aging room on premise. An intimate new destination for special gatherings, Burke's Dining Room is a noteworthy addition to David Burke's Primehouse. Conceived as a modern interpretation of the classic "chef's table" meant for private dining, it serves to complement Chef Burke's progressive, whimsical fare.#1 Steakhouse in Chicago - Chicago magazineBest Burger in the U.S. - Food & WineBest Steakhouses in the U.S. - USA TodayBest Steak Ever - Rahm Fama of Food Network Chicago Tribune"The complex, earthy flavors that dry aging brings out had me swooning. This is the kind of meat I want my server to set in front of me when I go out and pay top dollar for a restaurant steak. The extra layer of richness the brushed-on 'beef love' added really put this one over the top."

Overpriced. Steaks are good but not great. Plenty of fat on my ribeye which made me aware that every edible bite was very "dear"..aka expensive. High prices for mediocre sides, but excellent salads. Make sure your company is paying for this.

Breakfast was wonderful. I would highly recommend this for breakfast. One morning I had eggs benedict and fresh juice and it was great. Oatmeal the next day was very good with really fresh berries.

Now my favorite steakhouse in Chicago. Unbelievable dry aged beef. Gotta have the 55 day aged rib eye or the Kansas City strip Pittsburgh style! Melts in your mouth! Superb service and very knowledgable wine staff!

Unbelievable steaks, make sure to get either the 50 day aged or 70 day aged if they have not run out. Probably the 2nd best steak I have ever eaten, cooked perfectly with a great char and tender warm red center. The creamed spinach on the side went fantastic with the steak and bourbon. If you want the best steak... More

I really wanted to like this place - the service was spot on and everyone was friendly. I had never had dry aged before and got the 40 day and was disappointed in what I got. Another diner at our table got the filet and it was wonderful so I have to think my problem was what I expected but... More

The service in the resturant was excellent. I am not a steak eater. The waiter recommended the Filet Mignon and it was the best. It was cooked medium. It was tastey and tender

I had the 55-day ribeye. Two months later, I've not had a steak since because I don't want to ruin my memory of how a steak should taste. It's just that good.

A four-course meal for a $60 base price? Yes please! When I knew I'd be in Chicago for Thanksgiving, my friend and I knew that we didn't want to prepare a huge meal for just the two of us, so this sounded like a great alternative. It was! I spent an extra $28 for a 40-day dry aged 20-ounce bone-in... More

Turkey for Thanksgiving no way, why not a filet. Yummy The food melted in your mouth, the steak was easy to cut and to die for. The desserts were also very tasty and to top it off, they gave everyone in our party a turkey sandwich and dessert to take with you.

We had a great time here. First a glass of champagne, then a shellfish tower followed by the filet for my wife and the 75 day rib eye for myself. The steaks were truly awesome and the sides were beautiful as well. It is pricy but in my opinion worth every dime.
