We had reservations and had to wait about 15 min when we arrived...granted it was a busy weekend! Good atmosphere and decor...staff was friendly. Decent options on the dinner and wine menu...some of our party was disappointed in portions of our entrees. Taste was good, but have had better authentic Italian dishes.

I was checking in late to my hotel and noticed that there was a restaurant attached to the hotel. I was excited to try because it was Italain. I went in around 9:30 on the bar side and they had limited menu. The onion baked with Parmesan cheese was simply amazing, the plate of meats and cheeses was excellent too..also... More

We were very impressed with this restaurant! Three people in our group chose Parmesan Crusted Filet Cavatelli with Wild Mushrooms and Brown Butter. All three said it was one of the best steaks they have ever eaten. I chose Chicken Mario. I wish I could have the recipe!!! It was absolutely wonderful. 10 stars from me!

We went to Osteria after shopping on Michigan Avenue. The location was good, the ambiance was very pleasant--the lighting and sound levels were conducive to good discussion and the service was good as well. This is important for me because I feel most places now play the music way too loud. Everyone seems to be trying to make their restaurant... More

Having tried Giordano's and Lou Mahnati's Pizzeria's I was SO looking forward to trying Osteria. Wasn't too impressed with the other restaurants. Osteria has great ambiance and concept, warm greeting by the hostess and honestly the best flatbread pizza with the freshest ingredients. The service provided by the food runner and the waiter were like night and day. The food... More

I used to love love this place. We were there last week for the third time, and was so disappointed. We had reservations. Our table was not ready and we were encouraged to have a drink...it would be 15 minutes. Well...it was 50 minutes!! That is just not acceptable. One of the reasons I loved the place was the staff.... This restaurant was recommended to us by someone in the hospitality industry. It was as great as he said! We had a few appetizers (including some of the best calamari I have ever had). All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our main dishes (I had a pasta with a duck ragu which was excellent). Then we had a few different... More

Reading other reviews it sounds like a good place but our experience was a mess. Poor service , I believe, was to blame. We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 pizzas and 1 entree plus drinks. Lets start with the drinks. Our drinks were never refilled and never offered more beer or wine. Then not one of the food items came out... More

My nephew is still talking about the wonderful pizza we shared. Service was great, food was great and location was great. I would for sure go back next time I am in Chicago.

We stayed at the attached hotel, so this was very convenient. We had pizza, pasta, and the octopus appetizer. The octopus was really good, although it was SUPER garlicky and had more potatoes than I'd hoped. Pizza and pasta were both good.
