we ate at the pizzeria on the patio - great location. We had a bunch of small plates - olives, roasted garlic and white bean paste - all devine! for our main dish we shared a pizza - very tasty. Great wine selection. Our waiter (sorry cant remember his name - but he was from Cancun) was very efficient and... More

Chef David is always taxing his food before it reaches the guest and I'm glad he does. I've never had a bad meal here and don't believe I will. Try a little bit of everything but definitely try some of his pizzas. Paper thin crust packed with tons of flavor. Great wine list. A must try restaurant

Are at the pizzeria. It was great! Thin crust was really great. Also the mix greens salad. Our waitress was excellent. A busy night after the game and they made an extra effort to seat 9 of us. The bartender was a bit rude.

This restaurant has two sections - Pizzeria and Osteria. We ate at the Pizzeria. The "small plates" are not small - plenty to share. We started with the grilled octopus, fonduta and focaccia! All were very good but the fonduta is definitely the best! Delicious! The pizzas are about 10 - 12 inches and extremely flat crusted - delicious! The... More

H e could not have done anything better. Will go back when we are town and will tell everyone just how good the food & the... More

The restaurant is located in an area with numerous other restaurants in downtown Chicago on the corner of North Sate Street and West/East Ontario Street. It looks lout over the traffic junction with a pleasant, reasonably spacious outside dining area, covered by retractable fabric awnings that extend wide and low. I sat outside, and did not go inside. I was... More

We visited this restaurant on spec. We had booked for 7pm and it's good that we did as it filled very quickly. Our server said we could do the a la carte menu or pick and choose from the set meal. Our choice was the 5 starters and 2 pastas, coming out somewhat cheaper than choosing the set main course.... More

We ordered room service as we stayed in the Embassy Suites and it was late when we checked in so we decided to order in. The service was great, the staff was friendly but the food was horrible. We ordered cheese pizzas for the kids, those were good. My fiance ordered the Ribeye and it was greasy and burnt. I... More

Do not order this pizza for children! They put dried pepper corns in the sauce and it is too spicy. At most pizzerias, you can add red pepper to the top of your pizza to fit your taste. That is not possible with Pizzeria via Strato because the spice is already mixed into the sauce. Current trend is to have... More
