Went with family & friends. The food selection was good and the desserts were phenomenal. We all shared desserts. The hot chocolates & the cookie plate were outstanding.

It's brunch menu is actually pretty good. Some items are pretty innovative too, such as soft shell crab po boy. The only reason I give it 3 stars only is because its sweet dishes and namesake hot chocolate drinks are way too sweet. I know you might wonder how I said the hot chocolate is too sweet; indeed it is.... More

A fresh and organic menu of great brunch items. We shared shrimp & grits, hot chocolate and coffee & donuts. The shrimp & grits we shared was a bit heavy on the salt side for us! Wow! on the the hot chocolate and donuts. Be patient as this restaurant is pretty busy, and we sat the bar.

What a fun afterthought on our recent trip. We googled desserts in Chicago and this came up and it's obvious why. The atmosphere was fun, with the whole front window open to the sidewalk, the clientele was eclectic, from hipsters, partiers beginning their night, couples on date night and tourists. The food looked good too but the desserts and hot... More

Food was adequate - nothing special. Service was sporadic - meals served at different times. Beware that if you let your server know you're celebrating a birthday, you will be charged $13 for your "free" dessert, so cut down on the amount of ordered desserts. For us, this place was one and done. We will not return.

Mindy's Hot Chocolate serves a wonderful cup of true hot chocolate and REAL marshmallows. Mindy's history in the catering business is nothing to sneeze at and the service here is great.

Visited this spot while on a short trip to Chicago! You'll code your eyes and shed a tear at the out of body experience you are likely to have here. No exaggeration - the hot chocolate is pure perfection - so much so that I had it twice. It is served with homemade marshmallows which are a good addition but... More
