Hot Chocolate is known for having excellent desserts, but the entrees are also excellent. The menu offers less predictable options than other fine dining establishments and a good wine list to accompany the food. This is one of my top choices for a date for a number of reasons. The crowd is interesting and consists of foodies, intellectuals, yuppies, and... More

We had their cold chocolate drink with marshmallow and it was a real treat - albeit expensive, but worth the splurge.

Went w my aunt in law, friend mom who just moved there & 3 friends for the orioles/cubs series. The breakfast blt w avocado aioli was great. We shared an iced Mexican hot chocolate w cayenne. The bird drink w cava was tart & much better than the anticipated "too sweet" on my tongue experience. We biked here on divvies... More

This was truly one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. The service was just as great as the food. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we walked in the door. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about all of the menu options. I had the burger and it literally melted in my mouth. It was... More

Hot chocolate was okay. I make it better at home. However the foods make up for it but it little pricey.

Stumbled upon this spot walking through wicker park on Sunday afternoon. My friend and I each had a hot chocolate with homemade marshmallow, heavenly! We also ordered a peach pie and blueberry pie, both were light and perfectly sweet! Service was so generous and helpful. We took a bag of mexican hot chocolate to go!

I go to Chicago about 4-5 times per year and enjoy trying different restaurants each time I go. Except for Hot Chocolate! This is an absolute must visit every time I am there, not only because of the amazing food, but the great service and atmosphere as well. The macaroni and cheese is absolutely 100% out of this world. I... More

Awesome hot chocolate, great pastries, but a little pricy. Worth the trip, get a bag of Hot Chocolate.

I have been here several times in the last three years and look forward to it every time I come back. I've actually only ever had the hamburger for my entree but it's the best hamburger I've ever had. It comes with a fried egg on top and melts in your mouth. The real winner is the desserts. There is... More

This restaurant is easily overlooked as it's small and unobtrusive, but serves up great food with excellent service. The menu offers a refreshingly different mix of entrees and sandwiches along with the desserts for which it's justly famous. We loved the 'Creama Kasa' (lamb on rolled-up flatbread,) and the largest crabcake sandwich I've ever seen, but the highlight was undoubtedly... More
