I have been to Hopleaf several times whenever I visit my son and his family who live about a 5 minute walk from this excellent bar. On this occasion my wife and I went there for lunch and the beer as always was first class. I enjoyed a Liefman's Goudenband and a Verhaeghe Duchesse du Bourgogne, both from Belgium and... More

The selection of beer and cider available on tap at any given time is massive. IT also changes on a regular basis so there seems to always be something new to try. The duck ruben and the CB&J sandwiches are exceptional and pair well with many of the drinks. You have to go through the bar to get to the... More

Fiancé and I shared the mussels for two. They were perfectly seasoned. I had the blueberry mead and a great hard cider. Their list of drinks is impressive and their dessert menu was also fantastic.

This is one of my favorite places to eat and grab a beer in Chicago. They have an amazing selection of craft brews. The décor is dimly lit with a nice ambience. The food is AMAZING! I wouldn't even call it bar food or a gastropub because it is straight up gourmet quality with a very affordable price tag.

Tried this on a Saturday night with our nephew. Great beer list (the menu print could be a little bigger or a bit more light) - all of us trying two different each. The food was great too - had mussles to start - first time the broth was beer based - very tasty! For mains - scallops, pork belly... More

What else can you ask for besides a completely unpretentious bib gourmand rated restaurant that is busy every day of the week. They have tons of beers and specialize in Belgians. I've never had anything but an exceptional time here and have been coming for years!

Came here with my pops for some hops. Nice clean area as soon as you enter. There is additional dining in back. We were a little confused at first because we didn't know you have to go up to the bar to order if you are sitting in the front area. The workers are very friendly and helpful. I ordered... More

Had the opportunity to try Hopleaf for a Sunday brunch. The food was good. I recommend the CB&J and the steamed muscles w/ fries. The fries and aioli were amazing. The beer selection was impressive. I tried several drinks off the beer menu and none disappointed.

I have been here once before, but had to order the same entree because I loved it so much. I highly recommend the CB&J-Cashew Butter, Fig Jam & toasted cheese sandwich. Yum!! Excellent beer selection too!
