Great beer spot

Large, nicely curated tap list, great ambience. Always something interesting to try. Comfortable place to hang.

This place is a firm favourite of old, serving up a superb range of craft beers, so it featured very high on the itinerary for our latest tour of the best drinking establishments that Chicago has to offer. We sampled three of the latest offerings (which were uniformly excellent), served up by the very knowledgable barman - who then joined... More

My second visit, and a must for whenever I'm in Chicago. There's nothing remotely resembling what Hopleaf presents as their dining experience, so therefore a periodic visit keeps the experience fresh.

If your taste in beer expands further than a Miller Lite then this is place to go in Chicago. Way before the craft beer craze and the onslaught of IPA's, Hopleaf was a little "Belgium beer" place in Andersonville. Now that it expanded into the space next door it has only gotten better. I occasionally will have lunch or dibber... More

Great bar - great food. It is a big place, three bar locations. Service was excellent. We ate outside which was a good choice because it is loud due to the size and number of guests. Very interesting food choices. Had goat stew on couscous....a lot of things you wouldn't think of for a bar/tap room. Large portions, excellent and... More

Nice area. Great beer selection. Pommes frites were wonderful. Service was good. I was there at lunch so not too crowded.

Great location. We had beers & appetizers in the courtyard out back. Enjoyed the herbs, trees, and other lovely plantings. Fantastic choices on the beer list. Six of us shared the CB&J (very rich!), crispy onion rings, housemade sausage, macaroni, and pommes frites. All scrumptious. Put this on your must-visit list for Andersonville.

We went here with a group of friend, and it has a fantastic beer selection. Even though it is big, the separate rooms make it feel cozy. Will be going back for sure!

This place has an excellent beer selection... that's what I'll say first of all. The food was solid - we all had some sort of sandwich which came with an excellent dip (not sure what it was, but it was great). Has a really nice vibe to it, and the wait staff was incredibly friendly. Recommended!
