We went on a Wednesday evening to eat food and listen to some music. Due to the table being very close to the stage it was difficult to talk during the performance but we should have listened more anyway, the quality of the music was excellent. The food was ok but I guess it's more about the music at Andy's.... More

Let's face it, Chicago is too full of good places to go, things to do, and places to eat. If you had to pick just a handful of things to do, here's why we like Andy's Jazz: - location is great if you are staying near Magnificent Mile or near the river downtown - the music was extremely good, legit... My son was in town and he had heard about Andy's so we stopped by for dinner and a few sets of music. We did not have reservations but two seats opened up at the bar. The bar staff was helpful in our choices for dinner and would come by to see if we needed another drink. I had shrimp... More

Great location, atmosphere, and food. Due to it's size, you need to make reservations and be prepared to get 'moved along' after two hours. If you can get past that, relax and take in all that Chicago has to offer! Andy's is located near the best piano bar district you'll find anywhere. The cajun shrimp is a favorite of ours,... More

I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food at Andy's. I had the BEST short rib entree I've ever had, so tender and flavorful. Service was good. The music was good, but tended to be too loud to have conversations during dinner. Mixed drinks at the bar left a lot to be desired; first drink was actually... More

We don't really like jazz music but since we were in Chicago, we had to try the jazz scene. This place was recommended by the concierge in our hotel. It was an interesting place. Note that we were asked to produce our IDs before we can get in. The place was full when we came. Sorry but I can't comment... More

Go to Andy's for the music. They serve food, and having a nosh with your jazz is a good idea, but I wouldn't recommend that you make a meal of it. The quality of the food is just not that good.

Ok, not expecting a lot other than good music, but we were shocked when it was the favorite meal of our trip. Salmon prepared perfectly, best salad I've had in ages, and a burger that disappeared in about 5 minutes. Great service as well. Only downside was cover charge on top of dinner price. $10. a piece with a 2... More
