We stopped in Fado after a day of sightseeing and sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and we were served promptly. But then he seemed to have disappeared when we wanted to pay. Just ok.

A group of us got together and had dinner here one evening, which we usually do when we are in Chicago. The food is always good, the service is good and if you like beverages the bar looks pretty nice. This trip I had the fish and chips and it was excellent. A great place to hang out with friends... My wife and I were staying at the Aloft (a stone's throw from Fado), she fell asleep, and i was hungry, so i stopped in. It was about 8pm on Saturday night, somewhat crowded, but there were tables available (I found a seat at the bar). The Irish ambiance was well done. The bartenders were very friendly and 'aware', I... More

Stopped in here twice during my Chicago trip, since it was in the neighbourhood. Both times we were outside on the patio. Drink service was fast and easy, and they make a mean Crown Float (Guinness & Cider; not sure what they call it over there). Dinner service was a bit slow, but the food was worth the wait. The... It was undergoing ground-floor renovations, so we sat upstairs to get a bite to eat and a couple pints for Mom & Dad. The kids liked their food, as well. Service was very friendly and efficient, and it was nice of an owner/manager to stop by and chat.

I visited this bar when desperate to find a Pub showing a English Premier League Game. Loved the fact it had the TV the Sky and the full Irish breakfast. Unfortunately I was then met with the worst barman I have ever been served by. He had a Short temper was unhelpful hardly coudn't even find time to give my... More

We visited on a Sunday evening, so it was pretty quiet. All of the food we had was terrific. Our daughter had the Shepherd's Pie and loved it. We shared the excellent Farmhouse Salad and yummy chicken sandwich. The soup was a beef and barley. It was loaded with mushrooms and a thick beef gravy and delicious. Service was excellent... More

This is the 3rd time I have been been here and I am not sure why I went back more then once. The the first 2 times it was packed with young adults and since the place has a very strange layout there was no place to sit, so we left. This time we were walking by and wanted a... More

Nicked in here for a quick bite & a pint before we jumped on a tour bus. Recommended to us by locals. Because we were short on time we ordered from the appetizer list...Harp batter Cod tacos are great, as are the smoked salmon bites & the chicken quesadia. Pints were a good mix of imports & local.
