Great St. Patty's Day Experience

My wife and I joined her parents for the day at Fado on St. Patty's Day 2015. We were not disappointed. Although it was standing room only by the time we got there at 11am, the music, company, food, and drink were great. The Shepherd's Pie was one of the best dishes I've had. Drinks were... read more

Made a reservation a couple months ago for a party of 6 through OpenTable. I was attending a conference and planning on entertaining clients the day before St. Patrick's day. I called earlier that day and was told they did not have my reservation. I confirmed that I had a reservation still active in my account but then they said... More

Nice Irish Pub, we both had the fish and chips, fish was crispy and tasted great (best F & C I've ever had) The place was really busy since it was SP weekend, our waitress did great, keep us up with drinks and checking on us. I loved the building, 3 levels, dark woods, like an old house, with stained... More

My friend and I did a little bar hopping on St Patrick's weekend and wanted to go to an Irish pub. I had been here a few times before, but not for the music. We had an absolute blast! There were people of all ages here, not just college students. The band, Dive, was awesome, I would definitely see them... More

Stopped into Fado's the night before St. Patt'y's Day for a bite to eat and we were not disappointed! We expected it to be hopping but their staff handled it very well. Annie, our bartender was very attentive even though she was running her butt off! We had a farm house salad which was excellent, corn beef rolls and a Reuben!... More

i thought this was a very nice little irish pub. Not the same old thick battered fish and chips place. Excellent staff and a over average food wins every time. Worth a lunch...

Great Pub with real Irish staff and owner Tom. Has a true sense of being a local with realistic rustic look and feel. Patrons are friendly and willing to strike up a conversation at the drop of a hat. The cost of a pint here here is a little pricey but it is worth the experience. Worth a visit on... More

After reading the reviews on this place I thought that for our St. Patty visit in Chicago, this place was a 'must visit'. What I learned after a 45 minute wait to get in, then when seeing it was like a college kid fest on the main level waited in line another 45 minutes to get to the top floor... More

We missed Irish food so decided to try Fado. Great shepherd's pie, Irish cider, and bread. Wonderful waitress. We did not have to wait long for meal. Very good place!

My sons spent some time in Wales and missed the pub life, so when we were visiting our future daughter-in-law in Chicago, I found Fado. What a great place: wonderful atmosphere, great wait-staff, authentic Irish food, and according to our sons - the best Guinness they've had outside of Ireland. I felt the prices were comparable to other Chicago restaurants... More
