Exceeded my expectation

This is an experience that I can only describe as an exquisite evening. We were late for our reservation but we're greeted with a warm welcome. The decor is simple, sophisticated, and uncrowded. The staff is excellent. The ambience is special but unpretentious. The food is an experience that I... read more

First impressions were good, softer fabrics, comfortable chairs and attentive. Only after we settled did the hairline cracks start to appear; overbearing wine server intent on delivering the Spiel at all costs (although, wonderful wines!), A/C unit cranked-up way too high and for those along the wall, arctic chills (so much so that the restaurant has woolen shawls on standby!).... Everything we had, from little tastes to each course was as delicious as any food I have had anywhere in the world. Worth a splurge.

My wife and I recently celebrated our 20th anniversary with a dinner at Grace. The experience has ruined us for other restaurants. We had the tasting menu paired with wines, one "flora" (focusing on plants) and one "fauna" (focusing on meats). The presentation, execution, and service were flawless. This is food as performance art. Outstanding!

What stand out in this restaurant are originality, plating, taste, and service. It impresses diners not by showing off techniques in converting the form of food like some other top restaurants do, but by focusing on the fundamentals of perfect cooking skills and choice of top notch ingredients. These are demonstrated, for example, by the skills in infusing rich cherry... More

That's it. Best meal I have enjoyed in my life. Love every bite. With great service. And then cry that food will never be this interesting again.

What a fabulous dining experience! The service was wonderful (starting with the friendly welcome from the doorman when pulling up), the décor is beautiful, the open kitchen is fun to watch, and the food was stellar! Often times when doing a tasting menu, you expect one or two courses may not be to your liking, but in the case of... More

If you can afford the price of a meal plus wine, then you will not regret spending a bundle of cash on this Michelin 3-star restaurant in an odd location west of the loop. From the moment we walked in to the time we walked out nearly 3 hours later, we enjoyed every morsel that was put before us. The... More

Went for sons 16 th birthday . He chose this . Loved the experience with family . Great service . Not as packed in as Alinea . Flavors not as explosive though . Took the tasting menu - called Fauna I think - non vegetarian . Expensive but worth the experience !

Excellent experience and fabulously creativity. I felt a bit guilty on this bordering a little too indulgent.
