Amazing, special experience at a Gastro Temple. Would I do it again? No.

Twenty years ago we learned about this chef when he was at Trio in Evanston. It was the first time we were exposed to artistic, architectural food presentation and ate at Trio often. Many many restaurants in the intervening years followed suit on the plating techniques initiated at Trio. Now... read more

Twenty years ago we learned about this chef when he was at Trio in Evanston. It was the first time we were exposed to artistic, architectural food presentation and ate at Trio often. Grace is amazing! The service is top notch, the atmosphere is romantic, purposeful, crisp and clean. We had an impressive view into the kitchen and to Chef Duffy's wall fully loaded with spices. The flavorful intricate food of each course and the unique plating of each course is something to behold. We also did the add on wine pairing at... More

SO GRACE - Flora / Fana - whats the story or purpose of your restaurant, I ate there and I still don't know? I'm being hard here because it is supposed be one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had AND it wasn't. Wine to elevate the dish - C Wine to pair with the dish - A+ example... More

Exceptional. Service was phenomenal, food was so good I still think about the flavors 5 months later. It's an experience that's worth the price....and oh what a price.

Clearly the stars are awarded on past performance which is no guarantee for future. We are foodies and have been to numerous 3 star michelin. Grace was a disappointment. Countless courses with very little to write home about. Heavy on quantity, low on quality. Midway, our friends were looking into a late night snack online. But the courses keep coming,... More

Lovely restaurant, excellent service, calm and quiet and view of the kitchen, without the noise and odors. The wine list is unique and quite good, and for the prices charges, they do keep pouring ( our bill with wine, tip, tax was about $800 for two persons). If you like this avant grarde cuisine, tiny portions, large displays, smoke and... More

My party had the creative and delicious flora menu. It was fun and whimsical and unique. The service was excellent and skilled, and the sommelier made sure we all loved the wine we were drinking. In this era of craft cocktails, it did strike me as a lost opportunity for the creative food to be without a comparably creative cocktail... More

I had high expectations for Grace after recommendations from some people I trust. They thought it was on the level of Per Se and were not surprised it had received a third star. The restaurant is beautifully devoted. Our server, Adam, was young, energetic, and excellent. His personality and excitement definitely added to the experience. I don't drink but my... More
