In the past, we have struggled to find a good breakfast place while visiting downtown Chicago, but luckily not anymore. We had such a great breakfast this past Saturday, we came back on Sunday and did it again! Each meal we had was delicious, and the coffee is great too. We had the same server both days and she was... A great place to have breakfast, Huevo Rancheros is delicious and so are the Classic Eggs Benedict. Great place for a good cup of coffee and breakfast to start your day!

We had an OK breakfast here on a Monday morning around 10:30. Had about a 15 min wait in an old hall off the side of the restaurant. We had blueberry pancakes, French toast and a couple egg dishes. Food all just average. Coffee the same.

Flying solo for breakfast so I decided to stop in. Place was packed. Couldn't believe how many people were there on a Monday morning. I grabbed a seat at the bar. I'm picky about what I eat so I customized my order. They were perfectly fine with it. I ordered scrambled eggs and grilled chicken with wheat toast. They were... More

I stopped in one day and was kinda taken with the menu until I stopped in a second time.Lets face it folks an egg is an egg and the thrill was gone. They are also overpriced and at times it is load.Service is just OK and a little slow.Your Downtown and you are paying for the location not the food...SKIP... More

I much preferred Yolk... They forgot my breakfast, expecting me to share my companion's, when reminded of my order, I was given an English Muffin to, uh, "hold me over"@.@ The food was merely ordinary, and I want my breakfast to be extraordinary.

Wife and I ate here and enjoyed a good breakfast. Prices were pretty good for Chicago. Two coffees, french toast, scrambled eggs, potato, toast, sausage came to 23 bucks. Waitress was attentive, food came timely and cooked well. Cute place, lots of options. Would definitely go back.

Location is convenient if staying in near north neighborhood. Service is very fast and friendly, but if dining inside it is VERY loud. They should add some type of sound absorbing panels. Food was good, but overpriced. They have a small seating area outside on the sidewalk which is lovely and nice for people watching and conversation. Try to get... More

West Egg offers great breakfast options from things like variations on Eggs Benedict to crepes and blintzes and a whole host of omelets. The fresh squeezed OJ (and OJ-strawberry combo) is great. It's always a challenge to decide if I'm going to go sweet or savory at West Egg. Beware the loooong wait at the peak hours. If you can... More

If you are looking for a great affordable breakfast in downtown Chicago I would definitely recommend West Egg. The variety they offer is second to none and the food comes out quick. You will not get the sticker shock that happens downtown Chicago many times when you get the check.
