We are in Chicago for four days and all four days we will go here for breakfast. The selections are many and the food and service are excellent.

The place was packed, which is a great sign. I went here for a quick breakfast and left quite happy. I had the Albuquerque Benedict, which was excellent. Great service too.

If you're staying downtown this is the place to go for breakfast. Varied menu and amazing service. Food is good too!

I have to admit that I am biased. We live next door to West Egg Cafe and it is our go to place on the weekends. However, the owner (Victor) is always there. His staff are professional and all have been there for a long time (which says what a great guy Victor is) Here are our recommendations. Sue loves... More

This place is a classic breakfast go to Restuarant! Busy and there is a reason for that! Easy walk from Michigan ave area, north of the River area. All the favorites are cooked here, and large portions of great food. Doesn't get much better!

Once again somewhat surprised at the few negative comments and unfavourable reviews - as if we had been at a completely different place. We were recently in Chicago for the 1st time for a 5 day mini vacation. The first morning we did some investigation on places to go for breakfast before setting out to tour and shop for the... More

I agree with many other reviews. If your in the downtown area, find this nook, eat and enjoy. From the breakfast skillets to the French Toast and Waffles, they are consistent. The order of homefries were delicious and in abundance. Since this is a popular destination, be prepared to wait, but the staff is kind and very quick to serve... More

We were recommended this breakfast place since we were short on time and our Doubletree hotel was right across the street. I wouldn't say it was anything notable. The food was average and the wait staff, while they tried, were not really the greatest. We each got our individual bills (which can be annoying when you go with a group... More

Not sure what all the hype is about. The hollandaise is disgusting, the French toast was dry and very average. Would not recommend

Morning after New Year's Eve...The desire was a breakfast that would smooth over all the alcohol from the night before. This was the place! Warning, it's a popular destination so be prepared for a small wait (10-15 minutes). When you head in the door (winter) into the building hallway and see all the people along the walls, they are waiting... More
