Nice little diner

We had breakfast there the first day we arrived to Chicago. The food and service was very good. Typical corner diner without all the creepiness to go with it. The food was very reasonably priced. Highly recommend it if you want to sit down for a good, quick breakfast at a decent price.

Had eggs, bacon, and hash browns on my weekday visit. It was ok, but nothing special. It wasn't bad, but with all the choices in Chicago, I wouldn't go back.

This place is loud and can have a long wait, but was convenient to the hotel and the food was decent. Prices were budget friendly, but the service was horribly slow.

We visited West Egg Cafe for breakfast. It's right around the corner from the Fairfield Marriott. The service was great our meal arrived very quickly. It was a good amount of food too. The menu had a lot to choose from for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant feels like a true cafe with tables and booths. The waitstaff was friendly.

You can't consider a restaurant a brunch place and not be able to cook basic breakfast items well. Omelette was overcooked and the french toast was not even--toasted. "Fresh" strawberries should never come from a can, by the way. I've been visiting West Egg for about 20 years. I specifically wanted to visit again this trip. Unfortunately, the meal was... More

I went two mornings in a row because it was right across the street from my hotel. The strawnana pancakes were really good. I also had the Denver scramble which had way too much cheese on it. And the coffee tasted like burned popcorn both days. The biscuits and gravy were good too. I may not go back because I... More

First morning in Chicago needed a breakfast stop to set us up for the day - this was recommended to us by our tour manager and was a great choice - big menu including lots of healthy options - I had Raisin French Toast with banana, strawberry and maple syrup - absolutely delicious. My husband had an omelette which came... More

West Egg is BEST IN CLASS! The four of us stopped in for a late morning breakfast. Every dish was excellent. California crepe, hash and eggs, blueberry pancakes plus a complimentary blueberry crunch pancakes from the waiter, a veggie omelet ... Delicious!

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
