If you ask for two "hot dogs" when you place your order, you won't hear "hot dogs" when the order is confirmed; you'll hear "two Superdawgs" from the order taker. I've been enjoying the Superdawgs, each tightly nestled in a box with hot, fresh French fries, since the 1960s, and that was more than a decade after this Chicago area... More

first time here and highly let down with this place. i ordered the Superdawg box. the packaging was cute but everything was crammed inside a tiny box. i had troubles even getting the hot dog out of the box, there was so much stuff packed in. the real problem: everything was soggy from the steam. hence its new name Supersawg!... It doesn’t matter which location you go to, those two characters with the red blinking eyes will greet you and make you smile. Mr. & Mrs. Hotdog have been standing on top of the drive-in roofs of Superdawg’s for decades. They stand for excellent red hots and truly make your taste buds drool. It might seem a little high to... How can you not love 2 hot dogs on the roof acting as a beacon to lead you to this beloved road food spot. Last time here we shared a picnic table with people from CANADA!!! The whole world eventually comes here to eat the delicious food dispensed here. don't miss the classic hot dog served in a poppy seed... More

My husband knew about Superdawg before coming to Chicago, so when he saw it he knew we had to stop. The hot dogs were really good and well worth the stop. The fries were good, but nothing really special. I love the icons on the building. Such a unique experience.

I've been eating here since I was a little girl. Love the fries nestled in a box with the dawg. The best part is the sour tomato. My husband always asks for extra. They always say yes! Love the Florie and Maurie icons on top of the building. And my grandchildren love the Florie and Maurie dolls.

Suppose you have to be old enough remember the day to really appreciate it. The cheeseburger is a fabulous throwback to the drive-in era (thick burger sub-division). I'd give it a five but the fries were average. Not that far from O'Hare and you can do it all on public transit.

Whenever someone mentions the best hot dog places in Chicago, two things immediately come to mind: (1) Superdawg is one of a kind. It isn't a hot dog or red hot or frankfurter or wiener, it's a Superdawg. And its relish or "tangy piccalilli" is unique and the best tasting condiment of its kind that I have ever had; and... More

Look, Chicago is famous for its hot dogs and this place is in the top 5 of all hot dog places in Chicago so... you should go. While I do not think it is as good at Hot Doug's or even Portillo's, it is in the same neighborhood (at least with Portillo's, Hot Doug's is in a category all alone).... More
