If someone was visiting from another country I would take them here. Damn good food and a look into what this country was at one time before chain restaurants and the mass marketing of fast food. Is this the greatest dog in the country? No. But it is really good and consistent and comes with a taste of history.

If you are familiar with a Chicago style hotdog this is the best. If you are not whenever you stop by make sure to have one or two. A crisp skinned hotdog on a sesame seed bun with mustard, relish, onions and tomatoes with fries. You can order inside or have the car hop bring it to the car (on... More

I can't imagine a Chicago hot dog much better than this. We drove a few miles out of the downtown area to visit this drive in. Being from Detroit and loving our "coney" I wanted to get a true chicago style dog. I cannot imagine anything better than this one. Very nostalgic drive in building, hot dogs coming out in... More

Although you can walk up and order, the whole experience is based on the ordering from the car. They do a great job with the hot dogs and burgers and you just have to love the brightest green relish ever.

This restaurant not only has some of the best hot dogs, but is a living example of the car hop style of restaurant previously only seen in movies. French Fries are quite good and come in the same box that the hot dog comes in, be sure to get plenty of the onions, relish, mustard, and whatever else on them.... More

Simply the Best....the Hot Dog tasted great! It wasnt over spicy or garlicy like some other places. The fries are hand cut, fresh, and have the best french fry taste!

People who criticize this place are the same one's who eat Dominos pizza and go to McDonalds then pick apart this quintessential Icon of the 1950's! This is an experience not to be missed. Car hops that bring your food to the car and you place your order over a speaker system! Filmed in the movie 16 Candles....bring the kids... More

We make it a point to visit super dawg every time we visit Chicago. The food is good and we have always gotten great service. I wish we had one in Madison!

The hot dog itself is good. However, the way it comes on a tiny box and everything is packed that tiny box. The French fries are not fresh , next time I would avoid eating them.

I love their dessert menu. Yes I know everyone on here is talking about the hotdogs and maybe the cheeseburgers. Which I think are good. Are they awesome? Well depends on what you think *Your* perfect hot dog is. I think it's worth the price and ambiance of your in the 50's kind of era. But back to the dessert.... More
