I have been going to Superdawg since I was a kid, I have taken out of towners, family, friends, basically any excuse to go! I LOVE Superdawg! Only place to enjoy the best Chicago style hot dog and their specialty pickled tomatoes! Awesome! :-)

Pretty simple review got picked up at airport by my buddy and paid him in Superdawg. Late night hot dogs and burgers. Can't go wrong with either one. Ate at the picnic table since it was a warm night outside.

A Superdawg, fries and a milkshake with friends, is how I spent the Saturday night in Chicago, before leaving back to California the next day. Couldn't get any better than that. I have to admit, it was my favorite hot dog stand that I had the pleasure of eating in Chicago. The old school feel with the carhops, the signage... More

While visiting a friend in Chicago we drove up to Superdawg. I was intent on going because I've seen it on various TV shows claiming it was excellent. I will admit it was a cool little joint packed with a lot of nostalgia, and it looked the same way it did on TV. I remember distinctly on the travel channel... More

This really wasn't anything special as far as hotdogs go -- Portillos is better, faster, and friendlier. The gentleman taking the orders really could stand to be a bit nicer!

We had seen this place on Food Channel and Travel Channel so many times that we HAD to stop on our way to O'Hare. The Superdawg was great and the malt was so thick that a spoon was necessary. I doubt I have ever had better anywhere. We also bought two T shirt $10 each to commerate the stop. We... More

Not a bad place. Marking can be a challenge. Servers act like you've been there 100 times, even if it's your first.....so, some challenges there. Quality was par or sub par, but it is a dog. Fries were less than advertised. It's a Chicago landmark, and if one must do it......do it once.

I had heard about this place on TV and from other people and thought I would give it a try. I was in the area and stopped by for a dog. I got the basic superdawg and fries and it was delicious. The atmosphere is cool too and the staff was very nice. It's neat how you can drive up... More

The Superdawg loaded is a must. Best $5.50 you can spend for a real Chicago treat. Yes, it is hard to eat, yes it is crammed into a cute little box with fires, peppers and a pickle and yes.....it is a superdawg!! The chocolate malt is delicious and when ordering a burger you get a choice between a bun or... More

If you ask for two "hot dogs" when you place your order, you won't hear "hot dogs" when the order is confirmed; you'll hear "two Superdawgs" from the order taker. I've been enjoying the Superdawgs, each tightly nestled in a box with hot, fresh French fries, since the 1960s, and that was more than a decade after this Chicago area... More
