I have been here many times over the last few years. I should add my visits are almost always in the afternoon. I have never been disappointed by the staff, the food, the beer, or the patrons. I know of no other bowling alley that has pinboys. If you're lucky, you may be there when balls are returned right back... More

We went to play billiards. It was a very nice place with 6 tables so we didn't have to wait long. A great way to have some inexpensive fun. Good beer selection.

I have been here 3 times now. This is a great place for playing pool. They have 6 tables and you can play by the hour. Pitchers of Schlitz were pretty inexpensive. Service was great.

Well we were in Chicago over Thanksgiving and I had a business meeting here. Wonderful combination for my family entertainment. Ping pong, pool, and bowling. If you need multiple activities to entertain you, I'd recommend Southport Lanes. One word to the wise, I was told that parking is usually a challenge, we just got lucky I guess.

An old school bowling alley (4 lanes) with some of the best burgers and handcut fries in Chicago. A great spot before/after a Cubs game.

Great place to bowl! Good beer list. Decent food. Great location. They have manually reset bowling pins with guys in the back putting the pins back up. It's unreal.

We thought this place would be a great spot for a group of guys to play ping pong and pool while having some beers. When we walked in, there was a litte girl's birthday party going on with clowns and everything. Plus they did not have ping pong tables even set up. Very average place and not worth the effort... If you are a history buff; especially when it comes to small vernacular neighborhood bars constructed in the late 19th-Century, early 20th-Century, then you must make a pilgrimage to Southport Lanes. And its easy to get to - just take the Brown-Line, walk one block, and there it is. The bar is well preserved, the service was attentive, and the... More

This is a neigborhood favorite of mine. Therse a good selectio of food and drink here, with freindly efficient staff. But the best things about the place are the Pool room in the back and the hand set bowling alley to the side. The tables and lanes are rented by the hour and make a great way to pass the... More
