Stunning menu selection and can be busy at times but again there is a fairly quick turn around of a great number of tables - the cafe is located above a shopping mall but elevator and escalator available - the surrounds are plush and the staff are well informed and can help you through the menu... read more

Been here for breakfast and dinner, good location and service. The portions are big and they have really fair prices. The food& desserts are really tasty, especially their molten lava cake! Yum!

We had dinner at this cafe and every aspect was perfect. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and wonderful decoration. Food and drinks were delicious and plenty in portion. The menu had a very good selection to satisfy variety of tastes. Staff were friendly and provided us with an excellent service. We had to wait for some time for our... More

If you are anywhere on the Mile, you should stop for lunch or dinner. Incredible menu for any age, culture or taste. It always amazes me that this restaurant has such a varied selection, always fresh and hot. Great staff but take a sweater because the do keep it really cool inside.

Truly a Grand place! We initially went there for the New Orleans Beignets. They were definitely worth the visit. I do have to say though, it was FREEZING in there! I normally bring a jacket everywhere, but forgot this time and I am so sorry I did. Our food was literally cold in about two minutes after we got it.... More

I am a huge fan of The Cheesecake Factory and a friend recommended that I try Grand Lux. It is owned by the same company as Cheesecake so the interior of the restaurant is very similar. The menu is much smaller and limited dessert options. I was disappointed that they did not have the passion fruit tea. However, the food... More

Great Dessert, We had coffee to. We had the Deep Dark Fudge Cake. It was really good we shared it and there was plenty for two. The decor is fabulious, it reminded me of The Cheese Cake factory and we asked and they said they were the parent company.

I ate at the Grand Lux Cafe twice during a recent visit to Chicago. I was very pleasantly surprised at the depth of the brunch menu. I highly recommend the red velvet pancakes. However, we tried every item on the brunch menu and every one was superb. Our waiter was excellent and very professional. Ate there again one night for... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
