Pizza

Excellent cracker crust thin pizza. Deep dish is above ave but not the best in Chicago. I prefer thin anyway. Manager came by our table and visited or a good 5 min. We will return.

Attentive wait staff. Average Italian food. Had to try the deep dish in Chicago, stick to the thin and crispy. Sorry, can't match NY.

Would I have chosen this restaurant had it not been after 1am on a weeknight? No. However, I must appreciate that while we missed dinner, this restaurant was open for delivery. We ordered from the Dearborn location, as it has express/late night service. The food wasn't bad at all, though nothing gourmet. Would order from them again if ever in... More

No lasagna. Not many dishes with meat tomato sauce. Large bowl of pastas, its very family oriented but unfortunately it tastes nothing. We had 3 pasta bowls, all 3 were boring. Its a place to fill up little kids bellies. That is it.

We visited this restaurant 4 times while in Chicago. The service was perfect every time and we can honestly say that we did not have one bad meal here We learned to expect a wait for the food as it was crowded most times in. Experienced long waits for pizza at some of the other establishments mentioned in this post.... More

This was an interesting experience, watching regulars have a blast with the wait staff. It made me wish I was a regular. Food was great, generous. Service was friendly. Quite a wait to get seated though. It's constantly busy. Loved it.

We visited on a Friday night around 6:30. We were told there would be at least a 40 minute wait, which was to be expected. There is really no place to wait except on the sidewalk outside and at that time of night it was very crowded. We had young children with us so we had a stroller, not recommended!... More

I saw all the people waiting the night before so we decide to go and try it. We had a great seat in front and colored as we waited for our pizza. It looked good but it just wasn't good. Very bland - both the crust and the sauce and way too much cheese. Very sad as I was excited... More

My partner and I do a fair bit of research / planning on places to eat before we travel and try to map out most of our options by location / where we will be at that point in time. Long story short we had a switch up of plans and we had to eat something near our hotel for... More

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
