Chicago pizza and garlic cheese bread. Amazing!! The great thing about this place is the deep dish come in varying sizes. The pizza was topped with super fresh toppings and cheese and sauce and the crust held up for leftovers without being a soggy mess. Service was top drawer! Their bar is well... read more

Pizza was great. We have talked about flying to Chicago for the famous pizza so here we are. Neither of us really ever spent any time in a city. Becky the server was amazing. Felt like we were back in small town where everyone knows everyone. Sorry for the rest of the reviews for this trip because Becky set the... More

We tried a couple of deep dish joints on our trip and found Pizano's to be the best - freshest ingredients and most authentic taste. A Chicago institution and well worth a visit, there is one very near Millenium Park/Art Institute.

Came to Chicago to try some pizza. Found this place by walking down State street. Becky the waitress was absolutely amazing! The pizza was BY FAR the best deep dish in Chicago! Small town friendly atmosphere in a big city. Will definitely be going there again!

I had found an article in the Chicago's visitor magazine that recommended this restaurant if you were interested in italian low cost food. The deep dish pizza was just delicious! We're three adults and the regular size was perfect for us (actually we felt full at the end of the second slide). Pizzano's is not a big restaurant but small... More

Pizano's is a great Place to Eat. We had Quesada, Pizza, Buffalo Wings, Calamari, all dishes were amazing. Served Piping Hot by their Friendly Staff really quickly too. After a long Day shopping our meals were all served quickly to us as were all hungry. We were all so full after eating our delicious dinners. This Place has a great... More

Surprised by the non-typical crust on a deep dish pizza. It was delicious and really stood up to all the cheese and pizza sauce. The garlic cheese bread was awesome. You'll need an appetizer to hold you over while you wait for the deep dish pie to cook. Not terribly crowded and reasonably priced.

After walking around to see the sites we decided it was time for lunch and we wanted the famous Chicago deep dish pizza. There were 3 police officers with their bikes at the corner so we stopped and asked them for a recommendation. There were 6 of us and we were seated quickly. We all had the deep dish pizza... More

We've eaten here twice in the 6 months or so, and have had their pizza....5 stars, and pasta....4 stars. Very generous portions, my husband and I shared the Sam's special pasta along with side salads and it was plenty of food for us. Only downside was the bartender. Usually they are known for being super friendly and pleasant. This gal... More

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
