It was very tired day after visiting few places in the chicago downtown and we were really hungry and wanted to have Indian food, found this restaurant online with good review. Initially we never believed 4/5 rating since we hardly found good reviews about indian restaurants. We visited and had buffet we were impressed with different varieties for dishes. And... More

The food here is very authentic Indian and real tasty. They didn't add unnecessary cream or oil to make the food tastier, and the cooks were very well trained in using of Indian spices. Many Indian restaurants' cooks across US do not know how actual Indian food tastes. So they just keep adding spices and butters, and other stuffs. But... More

Was seated quickly on a Friday night. Staff friendly and attentive. The appetizer pate was great. However, the entrees were mediocre. The meat was tender but the sauces were a little soupy. We enjoyed the meal but would not rush back.

Let me start by saying that we have sponsored a number of Indian officers and their families while they have attended training at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, so we have enjoyed many home cooked Indian meals. That being said, we really enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere of this restaurant. For appetizers, we ordered some garlic nan bread (fresh made!) and... More

Nice ambiance and good buffet. Had an awesome variety of veg and non-veg dishes. Just had the buffet..shrimp and chicken were really good. The number of veg dishes were the max i have seen amongst the buffets in other Indian restaurants. Desserts were a not that great. Location is pretty good.

The first time I've been forced to eat meat in more than 40 years. If you're vegetarian steer clear of this place. They assume that you want a rotting carcass on your plate - never again!!!!

The location was very near the Ivy Hotel and was well-decorated. The food was fine but perhaps a bit over-priced. We had complimentary "bread" to begin with but the meal was somewhat a la carte in that neither naan or rice was included with the entree which seemed unusual. Service began with the waiter asking if our order had been... More

This restaurant is really close to my hotel so I had to try some takeout before leaving tomorrow. Very excellent food, and was able to pick it up within 15 min.

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
