We have eaten at many, many Indian restaurants. We return only to find that the tandoori chicken has been changed and is now saucy, and not enjoyable. BUT The Indian Garden has consistently excellent, just dry enough on the outside, tender on the inside, tasty Tandoori Chicken. One of the best things you can eat for protein and enjoyment, hence... As a former Chicagoan I have walked past this restaurant scores of times. Visiting from L.A. a friend took me here for Sunday lunch. My initial fears were assuaged when I spied several tables of large Indian/American families enjoying a leisurely meal. The vegetarian dishes far outshone the meat/fish/poultry, though the goat was very good. This was the Sunday buffet,... More

One of my best dining experiences ever! The menu is quite inventive and inviting. You will enjoy discovering new and authentic dishes. I love Indian food, and this one will not disappoint you! If you don't believe me, all the discerning Indian diners patronizing this place should tell you something!

A great variety of veg and meat entrees, flavors and spices were superb. Lovely atmosphere. Kind service. We like to try Indian restaurants in every city we visit and this is one of the best. And we've been to Indian restaurants in Kyoto, London, Nairobi, and more.

We had dinner at IG, it was well cooked and served food, authentic. The atmosphere of the resturant and the small details that was taking care of makes your experience unforgettable.

Our hotel recommended we try this restaurant for Indian cuisine. It was an enjoyable experience. The hospitality was good and the food delicious.

I stop here every time I am in Chicago and it never disappoints! I have ordered the House Special Dinner, which is Tandoori Chicken, Sheekh Kabab, Fish Tikka, home-style Rogan Josh, vegetables, naan, steamed Basmati rice, and it is very good and very filling! The table behind us asked what we ordered as we were leaving and they were telling... More

Since seeing the movie, The Hundred Foot Journey, I've been craving Indian cuisine and the Garden met all my expectations. The venue is nicely appointed, bright and neat . I'm not a big buffet fan, but when I saw all my favorites I had to try it. The lunch buffet was fresh with countless options. The staff is friendly and... More

I eat Indian food everywhere and anytime but not since London or Amsterdam or Delhi do I eat like this. The Buffet is huge like many are but rarely is the food this fresh and this well made. The curries are perfect. The second trip back I was eating more of the Tandoori chicken and the Curried Goat. Then the... More

Free poppadoms which was a bonus. We were really looking forward to this as we all love curry. It wasn't very hot. Seemed a little bit heated up. Rice wasn't hot. My friend felt his curry wasn't made with fresh spices and his lamb was tough. My chicken was very tender. I enjoyed. Its okay. Nothing mind blowing.
