One of my favourite spots to see good bands play intimate shows in Chicago. This place is legendary for a very good reason.

Came here for the first time to see Chadwick Stokes live. The main bar area had a really cool vibe. We didn't try any food, but did enjoy some drinks while waiting for our show to start. The stage area was a separate room from the bar and was very intimate. Fantastic sound!! The acoustics were amazing. Staff friendly. Would... More

We have season subscriptions to Porchlight or Theater 776 in Chicago, a few minutes walk from Schubas. We love Sunday brunches at Schubas before each show. In a beautiful setting of days gone by, they have a unique menu and fun drink specials too. I recommend giving the "migas" a try! The service is always good, and on certain days... More

Many famous venues in Chicago but I might be most fond of Schubas. Quality acts, staff. It always sounds good no matter what style of music.

We ate at the Harmony Grill before seeing Bishop Allen at Schubas. The food and drinks we great as was the service - the mac & cheese was particularly good. Then to the gig, which was fantastic! A great night out.

I hadn't been to Schubas, after living in the area previously. On a quick return trip recently, I was very pleased; welcoming staff, excellent food and a beer list worth revisiting.

Annual visit to Chicago and always like to try different eating places. I would definitely go back for their macaroni and cheese. Rich, creamy, cheesy and you can add any number or mix of toppings. We added spinach, scallions and red pepper. It was a meal in itself. We also had the hummus and pita bread triangles as appetizer. And... More

We sat outside, which is on the sidewalk, beside traffic. Courtyard seating is often better, because you don't deal with the noise of traffic. That was not an option here, and we had a pleasant meal. The menu offers a variety of entrees and appetizers. While not extensive, there should be something for everyone, and the food was quite good... More

We won tickets for an event at Schubas so to make it easy, we made reservations at this restaurant. They have a nice Mac N Cheese starter that is free when you provide proof of ticket purchase at Schubas. The food itself was very mediocre. I had the meatloaf that had little taste, and the other person in my party... More

We made a 6pm dinner reservation for an 8pm show, and we finished dinner with way too much time to spare. This would be great if you then want to have a drink or two at the attached bar, in our case we walked down to Starbucks and came back... The setup here is that you enter through the bar,... More
